if only - if everyone who believes in people and behaviours, not labels, if we all keep shouting it to the world it will finally change. I am a supporter, I raised my kids to be supporters, and we are all doing our part. I have managed to have friends who were homophobic change to accepting. If everyone keeps pushing, this will become reality not just fanfic :D Great Story!

This is beautiful :) I remember the Day of Silence, 2011... I wore my rainbow ribbon right on the front of my yellow shirt. Next to that, in the center of my chest, I had the paper and sticker explaining the Day of Silence. My teacher thought it was a nuisance to not have kids talking, but the assistant teacher went down and copied the paper and let kids who wanted to join tape it to their shirts. I later found out she was a lesbian that was dating the gym teacher. This, plus that memory, make my heart fuzzy :)

Is the Rainbow Pact real? If not, it should be. You know, I think I'm going to do some research. If it isn't, then I think I might just try to start one up on campus, assuming you don't mind me borrowing the idea, that is. Quite a few of my friends are gay, and I am fairly certain that I could get their help starting something like this up. Especially since my hometown, in Tennessee, is pretty much the belt buckle of the Bible Belt...

You were right. This is inspirational. I don't see a lot of LGBT bullying in my school, mainly because I live in a place where it is easy to accept it. I hear a few jokes every now in then, but they are rarely directed toward someone. That makes it harder to remember that there are some places that it isn't accepted. Stories like these remind me that it happens, but they also remind me that you are never alone.
