I mean, she didn't say that nobody would ever write a free-verse lyric about her. Oh, well. It was kind of a stupid line, anyway, given the kinds of deities that Statius gave starring roles to in the Thebaid. (What do you want to bet Riordan's never even heard of that?) I am not usually a fan of poems but I actually enjoyed it, but it was a bit short. suggestion. you might want to write in the style of the old epics, like six lines in a stanza, and probably about three or four stanzas. Maybe more if it is a story. Just saying. No offense meant. Your poem is good. I just have different tastes, that's all. I enjoyed it, though. |

| TribalGirl chapter 1 . 8/6/2011 This isn't exactly an epic poem, but who cares, this poem is still epic! Ehhh... I mean it's not epic in the traditional sense, but it's still awesome. Now Hestia gets an epic poem about her! *dances around the room for no particular reason* Have you tried free verse? I think you should. There are a ton of free-verse poems in the 39 Clues fandom - in fact, if you search "free verse", 39 Clues contains the fifth most results. I haven't actually published any free-verse - I'm working on one now, but it's not done yet. It's kind of hard, but if you do it right, it really adds a lot to the poem. If you want any examples, go check out the 39 Clues free-verse poems by VampyrycPineapple (yes, it's spelled that way). They're awesome! |
