Rozzlynn chapter 1 . 8/21/2016 I'm trying to catch up with some reviewing, and somehow I haven't actually commented on this one yet, though from what I've said on tumblr you've probably already gathered that I love your diamonddust fics. This one pulled me in by being wonderfully poetic and full of life. Really leaves me feeling that these Adepts deserve their happiness. |
Droory chapter 1 . 11/11/2012 Wow... this is fantastic. I actually stumbled upon this once long ago as an anon and it still holds up as being very impressive. English may not be your first language, but your mastery of it is just excellent. Better than mine I'd say. The characterisations of Sheba and Mia are great, and I love the subtlety in the building romance rather than just the typical events. I love your decription of Mia as well, rather than just the same innocent healer she always is, you gave her an extra dynamic which fits perfectly. I applaud you, this is wonderful. Droory. |
ChalkFourOne chapter 1 . 3/1/2012 You say in your authorpage that you don't speak English very well, but anyone who reads this story can tell that that isn't the case; your grip of the language seems just as good as mine, and I'm a native son, as it were. Your charecterizations are perfect, even though I generally prefer Felix/Sheba. I'd love to read your other GS stories, but I'm afraid I don't speak French . . . :P |
Avenvia chapter 1 . 5/10/2011 What drew me to this was the unusual pairing, since even though Golden Sun fans pride themselves naming almost every pairing combination possible, it's pretty rare to find decent examples of each. Plus I don't think I've ever read Mia/Sheba, so that interested me too. What kept me reading was mainly the flowing prose. Considering your profile says English isn't your first language, you manage to write way better than most native English speakers here. Also, the way that you've written the romance is very impressive; instead of two unrelated characters being shoehorned together in clearly contrived circumstances, you've instead woven an interesting tale that focuses a lot upon Sheba's personality, with the romance being subtle enough to not seem forced. The way that you've filled in gaps about the characters and what they did in the first of those thirty years also fits in naturally and could easily be canon, but I have to say my favourite bit of the characterisation was how Mia was not portrayed as a demure, sickeningly innocent little angel, and Sheba was not an immature child. I don't know if that's just how you prefer to see them or you showing how much they've matured over the ways, but I found it incredibly effective all the same. |
