I read this one a long time ago and had forgotten it even existed, which made rediscovering it all the better.

I love Elijah for who he was in season 2 and occasionally remained, this terrifying, unstoppable, omnipotent thing we knew nothing about but who had this allure that just said, "Trust me". God, I love him. Elena was never better than when she reached her understanding with him. The show was never better than when they were being BFFs, for that matter.

You have a unique way of recreating that dynamic, but you go places the show wouldn't and I'm all the happier for it. I'm so glad to have reexperienced this.

WHOA. This was awesome. I love how he's so deliberately...hunting her. And yet, for unusual reasons. There's so much tension in this fic, such deliberation, from both Elena and Elijah. I want more of this universe, please. Instant fave!

I am loving this! I actually started reading Taken prior to finding this. I am still in the middle of that one. I like to reserve my reviews on completed stories until the end. Having read this...it all leads up to Taken so beautifully. I think you are incredibly talented in keeping with the tone of the show and it's characters. That is hard to find in the world of fan fic. You write like you are a part of the team of writers that bring us Vampire Diaries weekly. No joke. I am so impressed. I have just recently developed a fixation on the chemisty between Elena and Elijah. I am now a full blown Elenjah shipper. I am finding good Elena/Elijah stories are very hard to come by. So, I am so grateful to you, that you are using your talent to reach the fringes (like me) in the VD universe. You have me completely hooked! Are you open to writing more Elena/Elijah fics? I would be indebted to you! Thanks.

I like the plot but you need to choose a tense and stick with it. You keep flitting from present tense to past tense when Elena's thinking or speaking, I would recommend past tense. 'She lead Elijah down toward the living room' sounds better than 'She leads Elijah down toward the living room. :)
