I KNEW it! John is really the Doctor and apparently not the Metacrisis either but the real deal. I began to suspect it when he started displaying his technical skills.

What happened to him though? Did he really voluntarily make himself human?

Poor Sarah...though it wasn't his intention to hurt her, the Doctor did and he owes her an apology and explanation. I feel sorry for him too, though. It's not like he left her because he'd stopped liking her after all. It was just too painful.

I wish I could binge through the sequel now, but I've got work.

Looking forward to the days end though. Got myself some reading to do.

It took me a while to get thru this, but now I can't wait to read the sequel !

I apparently forgot to review this when I finished it yesterday. Sorry about that! This was a very neat story idea. I liked the characterization. I could definitely see how John is different from the Doctor, and yet see commonalities. When this story ended, I jumped straight into the sequel. :-)

I hope we find out what happened to the Doctor soon! (Wouldn't it be weird if the Doctor we've been following in this story was the metacrisis? :-P)

This was fantastic! I couldn't put it down! While there wasn't one thing to complain about, I particularly liked your characterization of Sarah Jane. It's very rare to see her so well-done.

Yay! It was 10! I had hoped it was him since u gave that vague description at the start. This was so good and a wonderful read, that im just going to storm right on through to the sequel! :)

Well this has certainly bee a very interesting read. I always wondered what Sarah Jane had done with herself while the Doctor wasn't around. *chuckle* I can easily imagine it was things like this.

So, did the Doctor use the chameleon arch and then get bonked on the head somehow? Who was the ring for? I'm hoping it was meant for Sarah Jane herself.

And speaking of the ring, now that everything is over and done with, will SOMEone follow up on the only lead not looked into? The people who made the ring, surely someone would remember "John" if they saw him again, right?

And what part of the canon storyline has happened? Did the Doctor dump Rose, or was she lost to the other universe? *curious*

I'm off to start the sequel, even though I won't get far as I have to leave for work shortly. LOL

Hurrah- and on to the sequel!

So far, I'm glad I found this! If your writing continues to this standard, I look foward to hours of great reading! Some stuff (er, quite a bit) of Doctor Who fanfics here are simpering OC/Mary Janes "I met the Doctor and I'm his new companion in the Tardis and we're in love, etc. add in finitum" which leaves me unable to finish even one sentence at the start! There are some lovely writers doing LOTR and Man from UNCLE, and it's nice to discover talent in this fandom, too, since I just viewed the 50-year celebration episode! Been keen on Doctor Who since seeing the 4th Doctor decades ago! Hurrah for Saran Jane!
