Reviews for As Ours Fell Before the Scissors of the Witch
Guest chapter 2 . 6/13/2016
wow
Black-Tie-Plum chapter 1 . 11/5/2014
This was such an amazing fic! Parts of it were masterfully creepy, i.e. the weird erection situation - that bit made me think that America was possessed by crow. I didn't know what to expect and I really felt myself wanting the town to turn on America in the end. I could legitimately see this being a horror film.
Inspirationally Red chapter 1 . 5/31/2013
This was completely beautiful. Your writing style is loose yet cohesive, every word blending together to create a masterful description... it's reminiscent of Markus Zusak. Poetry, I say, poetry *applauds* The witch-hunts, the fae, everything in this chapter... gaah, I'm speechless at how good this is :D
EuterpeDream chapter 2 . 6/25/2012
This was magnificent :D I was just awed at the atmosphere in the story and the tone

The dialogue was beautiful and wow it was amazing -
Bai-Marionette chapter 2 . 6/20/2012
._. What to say first? Well, for starters-

THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME! I loved this version of America! Just the way he acted, what he said, how he seemed to think and react..! Gah! It was amazing! And then, England! Ho ho ho, England, man, I want to agree with Crow and say he got what he deserved for trying to bring Roanoke back-but then, I felt guilty as I could really see that he loved Roanoke enough to do such a thing. To 'deliberately ignore' the Salem witch hunts/trials. And then, to die for him! Both hanging, and then repeatedly at the stake...Okay? That might be a tad harsh, America.

...

I'm back to agreeing with Crow. England really was an idiot...*facepalm* Ugh, I still can't believe it. He should have called Crow. D:

This was a great story to read, and I truly think you did brilliantly for making your own continuation of her comic. This was amazing. -v-
Pipidae chapter 2 . 12/22/2011
This is just...so beautifully creepy. You know, every time I read one of your stories, I could swear I have them entirely figured out before they end, and then you do something that shocks me out those ridiculous fantasies. You are most definitely one of the most fantastic authors I've ever had teh pleasure of reading from on this site.
natcat5 chapter 2 . 10/9/2011
Amazing.

I...I'm actually breathless. My heart was pounding as I read the story. It was just so...disturbing. It really got under my skin. The language and description you used. America's insanity and the cause of it. England's meeting with Crow and how a rotting and dead body was stitched back together with magic.

All so creepy and disturbing and it really, /really/ got under my skin. Oh, England. The things you do. The mistakes you make. But that ending...how horrible. How...oh America.

God do I ever love your writing.

And with this...I do believe I've finally read all your Hetalia stories. :3 I haven't reviewed all of them (and I really want to review Pangaea, but I am legitely without words for that story), and I think I actually reviewed most of them in that giant PM I sent sometime near the end of Summer, but I've definitely read them all. :)

You are so unbelievably amazing! I just...if I'm not careful I'm going to ramble in this review and you've probably had enough rambling from me to last a lifetime.

I can't wait to read more from you! Now that I'm all caught up I can put you on Author Alert!

Btw,the link doesn't work even when I leave out the spaces. TT_TT
CherryFlamingo chapter 2 . 6/6/2011
Living with a mass murderer, saving potential lives, taking care of a mentally ajarred Amereica, getting burnt and hanged; England truly does deserve a cup of tea and a nice bath. There wasn't as much USUK action as I would have liked, but the reading wasn't boring or bad, it was just entertaining, although bordering a bit on being too disturbing for my liking.
Mi Yool chapter 2 . 6/3/2011
That comic traumatized the hell out of me, and I knew that a continuation written by your talented fingers would be just as terrifying.

Why am I such a masochist? ;A;
Krytical chapter 2 . 4/27/2011
Hmm, this brought a sense of sickness to my stomach.

Well done! You never fail to amaze with your writing.
UnluckyWriter chapter 2 . 4/25/2011
...wow.

O_o'

I always knew America was a disturbed child...No one ever believed me!

Well, that aside, this is truly an amazing read!

America's twisted mind, England's conflicting feelings and love, the witch hunting, truly amazing.

This fic reminds me of a book called 'A Gathering of Crows', a fiction book about 5 supernatural beings that were the cause of Roanoke's downfall~!

And poor Iggy...being killed over and over just to satisfy America's fear. But it's extremely sweet in its way, it shows how devoted Arthur is for Alfred.

And Roanoke as an past version of America who died? Awesome bonus! Loved how the Fay were associated with Alfred's rebirth and his fear of magic!

This is truly a stunning read~! I dearly LOVE your USUK fics, fav pairing of all time~!

Great work, and now off to the comics! XD
ArkanianHyde chapter 2 . 4/24/2011
read this ages ( well not really but who can resist a hyperbole?) ago, but i hadn't reviewed! gasp! let's correct that. so honestly i hadn't expected a second part , but hey i'm not complaining. but really though, o.0...wtf? America? the use of England as proof of the existence of witchcraft was a nice save to the cause on his part, but really i hadn't expected America to be so bloody happy to go this far to prove a point! 'Course, England did set off his own trap... gah! i wanna know what happens T~T oh and i remember (and checked to be sure) that America and England we're set during the cold war at the beginning of chapter one... what's the development there?
deviousone chapter 2 . 4/16/2011
as i type this, it is 12 midnight... and I swear to God and all that is good and Holy that I will get nightmares, Poor Iggy~ (very much an England Fangirl) I assumed America was going to do some form of harm (emotional, mental and physical)towards England at the mere mention of "Witch Trials"... for some reason, despite the Nightmare fuel and the fact I haven't read "The Lost Colony" yet, i found this story very interesting and appealing... the plot was not much confusing, thank you for that...
Free of Mundane Thoughts chapter 2 . 4/13/2011
Hoooooooooh goodness. Well THIS is going to give me nightmares. oO;;;;; I... actually don't even know what to say here. At all.

...It was definitely creepy. I will never be able to erase this image of Al from my head ever again.

All the references were also creepy. Understandably so, but still. Ahhhhh... Very, very well written in ways I almost didn't wish it was... again, the nightmares. They will be vivid. oO;;; But thank you for writing regardless. I can get over nightmares. This was worth it. Just... mindfuuuuck... oO;;;;;
