This was the most messed up, yet coolest crack PruCan fics I've read.

OH MY GOD REFERENCES! I have no idea where to start, so I won't. Anyway, super entertaining and so well written I just. I don't even know how to describe it. I love this take on Gilbert and Mattie and how everything ties in with everything else.

"L-lars, and, well, once with Francis. That was a mistake, and well, lots of wine was involved. I assume you know what he's like. Anyway, er, yeah, once with Francis. Um, are you—yes, yes, okay, I'll get on with it. Um, to be honest I don't know most of the names. Just people who pick me up on Friday nights, really," he shrugs, eyes on the floor. "There's a nice Greek guy who doesn't mind me. And, um, Ivan, I suppose. Er, we play hockey together. You wouldn't know him. And Alfred's fiance. And Raúl. And, well, I suppose Samuel doesn't count. And—look, do you really need all of these names?"

Ohohoho Matthew you dirty Canadian. :D

I realize that this was supposed to be a parody, bu it didnt seem like one, it seemed like a legitimate story. said legitimate story was really good, but as a parody, it wasnt that good.

This was all head-trippy cool-very surreal. I love a good parody, and this was exactly that. Note during the process of me trying to do historical reference I went past my bedtime and start to get really weird with it. Some of that stuff didn't include actual historical references. Sorry.

Well, there's Gilbert with all his general albino wonderfulness, and his birds and general awesomeness as, well, Prussia (a bit crass, but neat-freak, sweet loving and high-and-mighty). The bird-name references to Prussia's leaders, of course, along with Anna or was it Anne (I don't know about Joanna though).

Matthew with all his Canadian-goodness with the perfect about of practical snark, being a little more open about things than his neighbor to the south. His invisibility. Francis "habits" rubbing off on Matthew?

Poland being an oblivious, crossdressing punk? Lithuania being a general nice guy, woobie, and all around bad judge of character? They were both once affiliate with the Teutonic Knights (Prussia).

Connections between Germany and Spain (fascism much?). Despite Prussia's picking at , they were historically chummy. There was Feli's penchant for food, women, innocent igorance, and surrendering. Was there a hint of beating at either the Baltics or the Scandinavians? The Bad Touch Trio, naturally-was expected. Austria being "used". _

The way the three Axis Powers got together was a bit vague, but...Japan and economics? (That one got me.)

Ludwig's own neat-freakness, I did notice. And, the "Berlin Wall" coming up between East and West Germany, so to speak. So, I guess the near suicide was like the dissolution? There is still a pocket left of "East Germany-ness" still in Germany from what I've read. Failed suicide, I can see.

Vash/Switzerland and his neutrality and gun-lovingness.

Canada did scare the shit out of the German's on the battlefield, and I could kinda see that whenever Gilbert referenced Matthew's glances over the rim of his glasses, I think? The Netherland's stand on weed, clearly evident, as well as Canada's friendship with him-and protectiveness?

I noticed references to:

France's sexual perversity, and the beef that was the Frano-Prussian War

The vitriolic relationship between Denmark and Norway

England's lack of cooking skill, linguistic prowess, and bad penchant for drinking

America's economy, tendency to be a people-person

Geez, there's so much to list, I only got a third of the way through, I think. So many connections. It's starting to make my head spin, and if I list much more than I have I'm going to start getting pretty vague and random-sounding (not that I haven't been spouting weird stream-of-consciousness thoughts through this whole review anyway). This fic is a total mind screw. Brilliant, totally.

I have one solidary beef with it all though...Arthur? Was he Alfred's fiance? Who was? What about Arthur? Sorry, he's just one of my favorite characters-hard to admit having a favorite character, there are so many to love. I love most all of them, being a history nut. And it probably sonds like I don't like many of them with the little jabs I've taken at so many of them in the span of my review...which I am ending now for the sake of my own sanity, and yours. :/

woah, this is just kinda really epic. the drugged confusion of the begining, the awkard-into-argry-into-probing morning conversation, and the promise of another meeting! i loved the characterazation and the way you kept them in reconizable form while dancing on the racier issues. Ack! i just loved it! and i'd tell you what references i got, but i got none because it's waaayyy to late to comb my head for historical stuff. i'll find ot later.

I have to admit I'm pretty damn speechless and that doesn't happen often.

I read this at about two in the morning and for some reason it really hit me.

It's not mainstream for most anything Hetalia and I kind of love that.

It's an intelligent and somehow truthful approach to this couple.

So long, and i read it all. -feeling accomplished-

This was different and, dare I say it, awesome. It IS a parody of the usual PruCan concept, and that makes it especially unique and interesting. I'll admit that Im a sucker for the whole my-life-sucks-uke!Canada finding cliche teenager romance with im-awesome-heart-my-five-meters-roar-seme!Prussia, but reading something breaking entirely from the status quo is GREATLY refreshing, and refreshing this story is :)

I like the whole idea that it was supposed to be a one-time-fluke that evolved into a possible friendship and that Gilbert planned for tommorow to never come but by the end, there's already planning for a next week. And it's very canon-breaking that Gil would act that way towards Feliciano, when Prussia is basically head-over-heels for him in the manga/author's world/whatever. Doesn't mean it's bad. On the contrary, it's new and unexpected :D

I didn't catch a single reference... Then again, I wasn't looking for one, so... Yeah XD Ill admit I facepalmed when Gil and Mattie got in that little fight about Lars and Gil fumbled with the wh0re comment XD I didn't even realice until my head startign hurting (I facepalmed? Lul, what? Oh Gil...)

In a way, Mattie saved Gil's life. Gil was going to die, but Mattie unknowingly (i think) made him break out of that cloud over his mind and made him remember his friends and life and Fritz and shizz. Fritz was awesome XD coolest bird you'll eva meet!

Oh, i did notice you kind of made a subtle shout-out to fem!Canada and her whole beret-glasses-pigtail-look thing. Was that a reference? 8D And the part where Gil's alergic to almost anything and can bruise easily? Almost NOONE mentions that when they write about Gilbert! It's true that albino's are more sensitive, but Gil' always rushing into things and being basically invisible! Another point to you~!

Somehow, Gil robbing a sweet store instead of a video game one doesn't surprise me XD And the whole sprayign with water scene between Feli and Ludwig is so cute~! I've seen pictures of something similar with a garden hose, and it just melts your heart with cuteness! :D

I could keep spazzing about how much I loved this,but I'll stop attacking your eyes with all this rambling :P This is going to my faves, and I'll definitively recommend it on my own PruCan fanfics~! X)

I caught a few references but being on my iPod raises my laziness to infinite levels in referring back during reviews :P But I do love them all, because I love recognizing references within fics because it makes me snap my fingers and go "Ohoho, saw what you did there" And the details about Alfred's were also really interesting.

I also always admire the length you write at, because it's a lot without going into unnecessary detail (like constantly describing the basics of how the character looks like even though it's fanfiction for a visual series, so most fans should know how these characters look like)and it doesn't have that tedious feel like I'm reading 12k words in one go that I usually get while reading long fanfiction (actual books are a totally different story hahaha) because the way you write is captivating and holds interest throughout.

And hahaha, that formula. I'm pretty sure everyone's abused one, irregardless of what fandom they're in but sometimes it makes out to be rather enjoyable. Every now and then though, there's an influx of PruCan on various sites that all look the same and it has me wondering if someone out there's made a How-To or something. Either that or people try to deviate way too much and everyone seems so out of character (like the overly overly /overly/ snarky douchebag Canada) and I'm just sitting here wondering if I'm reading a fanfic for the right thing or not.

I think I'm pretty much rambling and close to steering off topic, so I'm just going to wrap this up with a "I really enjoyed this story", which I did immensely XD

Can't find my password and am too lazy to get in sent to me at the moment, but I'm definitely gonna fav this when I do. Just wanted to quickly tell you I thought this was bitchin' and I plan on pointing some of my other Hetalia-crazy friends in its direction.

This is absolutely WONDERFUL! And I felt like it was really believable, too...like, if the characters were actually in this situation...this is what they would be doing. XD

You have a great writing style. I can't say I caught any of the historical references, but now I really want to know what they are...and I will probably feel dumb that I didn't catch them. XD

May I just take this moment to say that this is one of the most amazing things I have ever read.

Your descriptions and words are so unbelievably perfect, and I've fallen in love with the way you write. The story was really something else, and I could see where you pressed the aspect or 'parody' yet I firmly believe you have made this your own. Different, and wonderful.
