OMG! Lol. You hit the nail right on its head. I see so much whump!Merlin tags that I wonder how much people revel in seeing Merlin hurt. If he's not physically hurt or sick, he's emotionally broken, so broken that you'd actually feel his pain cut deep into your own heart (I've read a few fanfics that have done that to me). Our young warlock is right. Let's give him a break. After all, he's the most powerful sorcerer that has ever lived, an immortal dragonlord that can raze kingdoms to the ground without a word.

(I like the tone of your writing. You give your words the character's voice and personality. I'd imagined Merlin saying all that, as if he'd written it himself. That speaks so much of your talent. Good work.)
