I've read this story before. I recognize, like, EVERYTHING in this chapter. Don't really remember reading the chapters before this one, but I've read this before. Checked the reviews. Yup, I have. Good story. Update soon? It's been more than half a year already, though.

Well, I read the first chapter of this quite a while ago and had no idea that you had continued the story beyond that until now... I hope you will finish the fic, because it's very interesting and not many people write this pairing.

Sorry, I was wrong. MiB is a specific officer. But yeah, you should give him a name instead of calling him Man in Black.

Awesome story. There's only one thing that bothers me: MiB stands for Man in Black, so it's weird how you just refer to an officer as MiB the whole time. He's not really a specific officer. MiB was just a generic name for any officer. But other than that, this story is amazing! Keep it up. And don't give up on this story.

And honestly, I'd be happy with either ending. I can imagine (in the strange head of mine xD) that the ending would be sort of a heartbreakingly romantic ending, with a very sad yet beautiful ending scene. I know you have the potential to make an amazing ending. But a happy ending will also work, especially if you went along with Sierra's idea, which I find to be the most realistic suggestion there could be. But whichever you choose, don't tell us! Suprises are much more fun!

It continues, ). That was a twist I did not expect (Shih-na pleading guilty), but I think that says something about her character. Nice job on this chapter. I really like how the story is developing through flashbacks.

Postscript: It would be interesting to see what would happen if she in some way escaped her fate. If it's a prison break situation (as mentioned by the previous reviewer), then Lang has to choose between his desire to have justice in the world or his love for Shih-na (and I'd be shocked whichever he picks). So...I vote for option 2: something else, anything else, happening to her.

Hey! Wonderful update. I have always read in it that Lang regrets every moment of Shih-na agreeing to her fate. I feel so bad for him!

To me, I'd be satisfied either way, but think about it. Shih-Nah has eluded police and changed identity's so many times, she's gotta know a way to escape. She must know people to help her get out. Sure, she's scared that each day is getting closer and closer to her execution, but there's a huge possibility she's got others helping her get out. She's one strong woman. The only sad thing is, she may have to run away completely, and never see Long again. Well, of course unless she sought him out later on. She does need to return his jacket. ;)

You cannot convict Shih-na of Manny Coachen's murder, because she is the accessory after the fact! You can only convict her of obstruction of justice (which is what Lana, Adrian Andrews, and Iris have been convicted of in the past.) You probably wouldn't be able to convict her (I hope, O.o) on the charges of killing Byrne Faraday and Mack Rell, because the proof she's Calisto is too flimsy. (Whatever Kay says, I doubt the fingerprints are still on that bottle after it being in her bag all that time, and I doubt the court would accept evidence that a teenager had been keeping for so long. The only acceptable evidence would have been saved by the police!) Plus, Shih-na never confessed to the police after being arrested, so the only information available might be a few testimonies. I would say that those people had wanted to bring down the ring so much that they were biased.

*Sigh* I wish Shih-na could testify against Quercus Alba to get amnesty for her crimes. But...I guess the ring would kill her then. There's no way out. (

Oh well. I think you're doing a really great job with this story, and this was a good chapter. The description is especially well-done, and actions are well-spaced out (does that make any sense?)

ahh i love this, you really capture the two characters perfectly! Even the flashbacks are done really reaaaaaaaally well, i could almost imagine it. one of the best styles of writing flashbacks ive seen, please carry on!

I really like the combination of past and present in this story, and you're doing a great job writing it. I hope that you can update again soon.

Postscript: Too bad about Shih-na dying. I'm glad someone doesn't think of her as an evil psychopath though, ).

It really pains me knowing she going to die, and when she actually felt comfortable for the first time in her life with someone.
