Aw, I love Abbie and the way you handled the talk between her and Marcus. He certainly does have a way with children, doesn't he? And with her finally admitting that she is angry at her father will certainly be for her healing.

And yes, here comes the action! ;-)
Very nicely done - not too much drawn out but giving Marcus some action and the appropriate consequences. But thankfully a quick trip to medical is enought - worse of an injury would have been to much, I think. "I stand corrected" - nice dig!

An excellent first chapter with full characterisation. Keeps the reader wanting to know what happens next.

I'm really pleased you are continuing the story and so happy to find another chapter. I can't offer much in the way of constructive criticism because I just find this story so good - well paced, sensitively written, well-plotted. Its not canon but it feels like canon.

I came away from the chapter feeling a bit like Abby - that inexorable sense of time moving towards her departure, and yet dragging. I also found myself wondering how she would take it when, in due course, Marcus sacrifices himself for Ivanova. Will you be including an epilogue which covers that moment, I wonder?
