You're amazing. I think you don't write carsonxhughes fic anymore as you've moved on to Baxley, and that's understandable, as they are a wonderful OTP. But I want to express my appreciation for this bit of lovely lovely carsonxhughes fic. Kudos. That moment in chapter 2 where he tells her he has trouble with expressing his feelings, especially when they're strong?! And then she asks him what he's saying (you prescient thing, you. "I'm not convinced I can be hearing this right?" - your version of them trying to talk about feelings is so in character. Well done.) And then he says "I am trying to tell you that I love you" ?! YAS AUGH, that hurt so good. I loved it. Well done. Thank you for your years and years of wonderful fanfic! Long may it last. Xo

A beautiful, mature love story for the two characters who really keep Downton Abbey going. I would like to see this continued is some way, perhaps Charles and Elsie shocking the family by asking for permission to marry in the local church. How would the other staff react? Shame we only had the three chapters.

You write these two characters so very well, and bring the ample doses of lust into the mix seamlessly! Please, please continue, and not to be crude...but have you ever considered entering the PWP realm? I think you'd be wonderful at it!
