This was such a sweet story. Also, as one who loves historical accuracy, this was a dream come true. I actually have the last wartime song mentioned here and was listening to it just now and it made me smile to think of the fondness and comraderie that America and England must have felt for each other at that time. (Hits From the Blitz are the music CDs I got at the Imerial War Museum in London and it had When the Lights Go on Again and many others like my favorite With a Song in My Heart by André Kostelanetz). I would love more stories like these that have to do with the real America and England. Also... Please finish You Can't Take the Sky From Me. :)

That was absolutely amazing and beautiful. I really enjoy fluffy history fics. I'm also an English philology student and I had lectures about US and British history, which makes stories like this one all the more dear to me.

This story, especialy with it being a Christmas one, made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside and I can't stop smiling.

Please write more like this.

Oh... I almost teared up several times while reading. Their dancing was painfully sweet, as were the presents that they'd poured so much care and thought into. England's little pep talk moment was completely adorable (I have such a soft spot for that lovable British fool). And the war songs... I'd really love to see the real pieces that you based the presents off of. Great job, as always c:

Fuuuuuck - this made me cry! :'D I got the happiest of happy tears in my eyes towards the end! Gaaaaaah, this was SO CUTE! Without a doubt the sweetest, fluffiest and most romantic Xmas one/shot i've ever read! The way you wrote it all out was just so beautiful. America and England were written perfectly - they were sweet and romantic, without completely throwing off their characters, which is an achievement in itself. XD I almost started crying when they danced to "Have Yourself a Merry Christmas." Its one of my favorite holiday songs EVER, and the fact that you related it to the soldiers' situation was just so sweet. :') Rawr, its March and already I want Christmas back just because of this! XD This was... *sigh* ...perfect. Just, perfect! *sniffles and wipes away tears*

First and foremost, loved the songs that were embedded in this. I get many of the songs on my iTunes from finding them in fics, then searching them up to get a better feel for them, and downloading them after learning I liked them. They tend to be really good songs. So thanks for adding to that. I actually don't have many Christmas songs on iTunes yet... I really should remedy that. I also happen to really like Christmas fics, so of course this made me happy. Christmas fics just always seem to be really warm, sweet, fluffy and homey. They're really comforting. And I have good associations with USUK stories mentioning WWII, which of course carried over to this. Just in general, thanks so much for writing this! I was truly happy to be able to read it.
