Oh my gosh. I wish you continued

This was insanely amazing, well executed, harrowing and yet romantic at the same time.

Wow. I have no words for how wonderful this is. Truly. I never expected to like this, because it's based on a zombie apocalypse and I generally find fics like this wholly unbelievable and OOC, but every inch of this works. The characters react exactly as I imagine they would, the situation actually make sense, and the keen sense of loss is threaded throughout. It makes me sad. Her Dad not picking up the phone, no idea what's happened to Ryan and Esposito, nor Lanie. The way they seem to be the only ones alive amidst all of this. The loss and grief of it all is completely palpable. And then there's the beautiful relationship between this makeshift family, and how readily they accept Kate. It makes it bearable. That's where I found hope for them.

This passage in particular is just, wow. Makes me speechless, my favourite part of it all: "Katherine Beckett," Martha puts a hand on her arm. The use of her full name reminds her of her mother, when she was mad at her. Castle's mother just offers a pearl of wisdom, "When there's nothing else, there is always hope."

I really, truly enjoyed this fic.

This is amazing, well written, in character, just amazing. You have the characters written so believably, even in a situation like this. The idea is interesting, the plot unique, I think I have a new favorite fanfiction. Though I would like to know what happened to Ryan and Esposito. Also you must be psychic, considering the new Castle episode is going to be about zombies. Although I don't think it will go this way. ;)

Someone recommended this on tumblr, because of the upcoming zombie episode. I'm really glad I read it. It was surprisingly good. It wasn't too crazy. It was very believable, as much as a zombie apocalypse can be. Haha Now I'm really excited for the zombie episode!

Wow... This one is TOTALLY going in my favourites!

I'm not usually into zombie fics, but I really enjoyed this one. It's too bad you haven't continued it; it would be interesting to see if the zombies were ever able to be stopped. And to know how the family handles things as time goes by. But either way, this was a great Castle zombie fic.

This is so awesome. I absolutely love zombie stories and to read one about CASTLE? I love you.

So Zombies give me anxiety. And reading this fic had me almost having an anxiety attack, but I loved it. It reminded me very much of World War Z, and I loved how serious you took everything and the tone. You painted a very lovely picture of what the end of the world would be like with the two of them.

I would love to know what happened to Lanie, Esposito, Ryan and Jenny. But with what we got here, I guess its enough?

Loved it! I've read a few of these fics in the Criminal Minds fandom and I had a hard time picturing it in any other show, but you made it work. I just love these apocalyptic stories :)

When I first saw this story, I thought, "Castle? Zombies? Gotta be crackfic." However, I was completely impressed with this story. It was really well done. You captured the characters and their interpersonal relationships perfectly - even during a zombie outbreak. I especially like the fact you didn't overlay the scene in the shower...it was just enough; not too graphic or too light. The jokes and interplay between Castle and Beckett were perfect (and funny).

Well done.

This was...incredible to say the least.

I started off laughing, thinking it was hilarious. But then it really sunk in, what was happening. I started seriously visualizing it in my head. And I was like 'Shit. You're freaking doomed. *insert sad face*'

And at the end... I got tears in my eyes. It was so sweet, how they were like 'we always have hope' and all that.

But..it wasn't necessarily the end of the world, was it?

Also. I want to know what happened to Ryan, Espo, and Lanie. Maybe you could write another chapter?
