So, first off, I think Kagome had a point about being annoyed that Inuyasha just suddenly left her without saying another word. That little smiley face on the bill
does not make up for being a wuss (but I’m tickled by the idea that he’d do that). I mean, I understand he got a little thrown off balance at her questions but come on, running away is not the answer! Kagome should have given him a harder time so he won’t do it again.

With that said, I’m so happy they finally got to share their feelings and go out on a proper date. It was really cute that Inuyasha was so protective over Kagome when she got burned (and who doesn’t sympathize with those days when it just doesn’t pay to get out of bed?) and wanted to share dessert with her. Also, I’d totally thank and then murder Hojo too. I love it that he wasn't the usual oblivious rival for Kagome’s affections but actually helped out.

I also just realized how you titled the chapters. Brilliant.

It was really a great story with wonderful interactions and situations that made me laugh and snicker and aww. I was totally in the mood for a rom/com and this fit the bill so very satisfactorily. Thanks for sharing it!

Ahahaha, I love the nickname Kagome’s friends came up for Inuyasha.

So when I read about the reservations, at first I thought “This is it! Inuyasha wanted Kagome’s attention all to himself so he reserved every single table in her section so she wouldn’t be running around and they can talk and fall in love because there’s only one more chapter!” Clearly I was wrong but this was so much better since we were introduced to even more familiar characters and crazier situations. I loved all the interactions and Inuyasha’s toothy grin because he’s tipsy and robot Sesshomaru. You showed a brief but sweet side of Shippo and I thought Hojo being a master flirty bartender when working was a great little touch to make the characters more real. I can’t wait to read the conclusion!

Oh my goodness, that was hilariously unexpected. Two more dates, two more women screaming and walking out on Inuyasha, and maybe some positive movement in the right direction for our two lovebirds to finally get together. Again, the small but interesting details of working in food service was a nice background to the story, which helped enrich the scene and even the interactions between Inuyasha and Kagome. I also had to laugh at Yura’s new name whenever she was mentioned by Kagome. On to the next chapter!

Love the start to this and looking forward to how it’s going to go. I appreciate how you mention how hard it is to work in the food industry and how we should all be a little nicer to the people there. I could feel how awkward Kagome felt overhearing Inuyasha’s and Kikyo’s strained conversation and the confusion of Inuyasha’s lukewarm and cool behavior. I’m eager to read how their relationship is going to proceed, hee!
