this story is lovely and i had thought you had stopped when you finished "the pretender." it's nice to know there is a continuation to "a chance encounter" as i always wondered how duo and milliardo's relationship would go. i also see that you posted up the sequel to this fic so off i go :)

Such a sweet story! I definitely concur with your comment at the end if you feel the inspiration to do so. Otherwise, this makes a beautiful one-shot.

Once again you've written a top-notch little story here. I much prefer this pairing to the typical duo/heero couple that is far to common in my opinion. I'd personally love to see this or something like it continue, however I am also keenly aware of the limitations of time particularly as we get older. So simply put this story is a much appreciated holiday gift, your one of the best writers on this site with a hell of a catalog you've built over the years, I wish you the best in your endeavors and hopefully we'll all find a little more time in our lives to do what we love.

Oh, and while I'm at it I want to thank you for not filling your stories with inappropriate Japanese honorifics and sayings by characters not in japan or of Japanese decent. Only thing more annoying is horrible spelling.

Glad to see you're still around! I always love your fics. As to your question about Heero...hmmm...even though you do angst so well...I would say keep it light and happy. If Heero does show up I wouldn't want him to wreck the start of a nice relationship. :)

What a lovely atmospheric story showing a relationship on the rise. I especially liked this description of Milliardo's feelings and his growth: "He had fond memories of that hat. It served as a reminder of the day his life had changed for the better. Almost overnight, his days had became more than simply something to endure. He now woke up each morning excited for what the day might bring. He was a happy man, filled with gratitude."

Oh, yeah, Duo took the movement of his things very, very well, which demonstrated the depth of his feelings too.

A sequel... I could see the two men exchanging rings in a little ceremony with friends, when Heero shows up unexpectedly...

It was very sweet seeing these two a year on, and very much together. I thought there was a ring in the box, but the keys were a very sweet gesture. In Duo's place, I'd be very brassed off at someone moving my possessions, but luckily he didn't seem too fussed. OK, if it was Mil, I'd probably let him get away with anything too.
