I did adore this story. So sweet and so realistic. Great piece of writing! Kurda and Mika were both perfectly in character. Loved it!

Just reading your fanfiction seeing how short it is I have to say, you did a damn good job writing it. Having read almost all things Cirque Du Freak, I know all about Larten and Mika with Arra Sails, who is my least favorite character of all of the series so I can never understand why Mika or Larten was ever interested in that bitch.

But from reading his other works, I think the author clearly has a thing for Arra's type, the strong female who's a bitch to everyone, but it’s plain stupid to put it off on his characters because it makes them look stupid for falling in love with bitches. The only person worse than Arra is , Arra is the last person any of these characters should fall in love with. I mean seriously Darren’s little sister Annie would be a better choice for Larten or Mika than her and that's saying something.

Sadly Mika and Larten some of the best characters of the books did fall in love with this bitch, that's what the author actually wrote, why I don't know but I won't take my frustration of Arra out on you for writing about it because it's the truth. And from a critic's standpoint of your story I love the way you layered this as not only a story of draining your sorrows of loss for someone you love but a loss for your best friend all woven into being comforted by a companion. The only thing wrong with it is Mika does not see Kurda as a companion; in fact in canon, every scene with the two suggests he hates Kurda's guts. Either way you wrote my Mika well; his drunk-fest was entertaining.

i've become so obsessed with Mika since starting to write my fic and he's so brilliant here. i even love kurda in this fic and i've always found him an impossible character. literally i was sad when this ended. amazing work!

Wow, roxypony! I must say, this is probably the most touching fic I have read in some time! I adore the notion of a brotherly comradeship between Kurda and Mika, even if Mika is a drunken grumpyguts and also, loving the hint of Mika/Arra. I love the Mika/Arra pairing! Not as much as Larten/Arra, of course, but it's still lovely.

Wow, this is great. The title of this one shot was perfect, and you say you're bad at titles! Psh! I loved Mika's drunken talk, you really made it understandable, but still 100% drunken speech! Maybe I can just understand it because- nevermind. But this is absolutely fantastic, you've been on a roll updating and I think this really just put the icing on the cake because you did such an amazing job! I love it! As I'd like to say, it's absolutely beautiful!

See it as an early christmas present, a long review ) I think your first serious one-shot deserves that, right? Especially since it's about my favourite character! And gosh, I had no idea that Mika fancied Arra, but it really explains a lot when you think about it! I've just read some of the manga, and I really hate how ugly they portray him, but otherwise he's in character. Also, the whole manga is kinda akward but... Anyway, back to the review!

I think it's the perfect lenght of a one-shot, and I love the intro. It really gives a lot of questionmarks, and then a smile when you realize he's trying to get himself drunk. His sad thoughts are also very real, and I although I've never read a (serious)fic with a drunk Mika in it I think you did really really well! He still manages to stay in character, cheers for that! I don't know how well I would've done that! I also laughed when I read the part that you read out all his lines aloud, that's the spirit girl!

I know you dislike the Mika/Kurda pairing, but I think this fic will be liked by both the ones for (like me) and the ones against. It's about a good friendship, and you could read things in it if you wanted. Good combination.. okay, back on track, I'm losing myself :P

I think your language is excellent (as always)and you mix the dialouge with descriptions in a great way! I especially liked the sentence "and Mika stared down at the table, glancing occasionally up at the blond and slender object of his annoyance", again, it gives you a big smile. The same goes for Kurdas 'even in hangover may you be triumphant', great!

Another thing I might add, which makes this fic better than the others you've posted lately is, seems like you dubble-checked this ;) I spotted several typos in your last chapters of TVF, especially in Camp Vamp, where you confused Arra with Arrow. So don't forget to check before you post ;)

But, to summarize, a great, intensive and original one-shot. ;) I know you put great effort in this, and it paid off!

Excellent short story Roxy! Mika's slurring is realistic - and quite an unlikely duo in your fic! I'd never thought Mika and Kurda could EVER get along, considering their completely opposite personas/viewpoints. But you hit the nail on its head for this one. Loved every single moment of it - the best was the true value of the story itself: Friendship no matter what belief two people might hold. That's what I trully adored about this story. Oh, and the poor juicy tidbit of the dark broody Prince-to-be's (in this case) of his concealed emotions regarding his years of solitude...Poor Mika indeed!

Anyways, I better stop hogging the review page and saunter off. Great work and toodles! :D

I thought this was really good! I'm such a Arra/Larten fan that nothing could change that, but reading this, I did feel quite sorry for Mika nonetheless. It's quite an interesting (albeit it a little weird) concept, that Mika's both Arra's mentor and has feelings for her.

It was also cool to see you write something so different from TVF! It was nice seeing Kurda in a bit of a more...mature light, where he was actually helping Mika through something tough, rather than being the something tough Mika needs help getting through :P

So, I loved it! Well done! :)

Personally, Mika/Kurda is my favorite CRACK pairing. :)

I was actually reading Mika's voice in my head like Buzz Lightyear in the first Toy Story when he's "Mrs. Nesbitt".

Because Mika was like Buzz, and Kurda was like Woody.

Anyways, before I ramble aimlessly, I really loved this. I really like this relationship between Kurda and Mika. It's so... Brotherly.

For this not being ANYTHING like TVF, it was REALLY good. It was a nice mix of funny parts, angsty parts, friendship/family bits, and parts that made me feel sad. I like it when stories can give me a bunch of different emotions.
