This is kind of a mirror to an unexpected job. There Merlin had to leave because his magic was more important. I liked that you continued that in N unexpected vision where Merlin found his way back to Morgana and they had a happy ending. To complete that figurative mirror, Morgana needs to fin a way back to Merlin for a happy ending. Canon didn't do it. But fanfiction can. Hope to see more.

You know, this does seem like a fitting end to the fanfiction.

Damn I really wish you carried on

Merlin being so chaste is so infuriating I just wanna tie him up and make him realise that being so chaste and not giving Morgana his full support and trust is what led to bad things. *sigh*

Interesting romance!

Merlin trying to do everything on his own has been damaging. I would have liked to see them working and plotting together to bring back magic. Wouldn't that be a miracle if they could soften Uther and convince him to bring back magic?

So Uther continues to get sick and weaker and dies three days later.
In the meantime, Morgana finds the druids and learns to use her magic for healing battle wounds,and various other things.
Merlin and Arthur hardly have time to bury Uther before they are having trouble with a neighboring kingdom where Merlin saves the day with his magic and help from Kilgarah and Aithusa.
Arthur promotes Merlin to court warlock and asks Morgana to come back and help him and Merlin hammer out the details for restoring magic to Albion. Merlin and Morgana get married and have many children and grandchildren.
Find a stash of dragons eggs in the vaults below the Fisher Kings palace and raise up a new generation of dragons and Dragonlords.
