I totally agree that both Harry and Hermione took the safe route that night when they separated after their lovely little dance. You've captured that moment perfectly and expressed it in another moment in which those two lament of what was easy versus what was right. If only they took that leap...

Wonderfully written! I'm captivated with how you portrayed Harry here. Having him almost get sick, and Ron getting sick was an amazing thing to add, seeing as 'mudblood' is such a horrible thing to be labeled as, and it'd been officially carved into Hermione's skin. And the reality of it, when it hits Harry was magnificantly written. I love that you gave him time to think about this, while the movie didn't spare time for that. (yet).

And my favorite part? The end where Hermione brushes his hair up on his forehead and tells him 'we all have scars'. Beautifully done. Great piece of fiction!

I typed out this long review for this story on portkey, only for it to not go through, so I came here and now I forgot half of what I said. Sigh. Anyway...I love this! I was kind of puzzled in the movie that Hermione just got up and carried Dobby to be buried the way that she did...I was thinking, for heaven's sake, boys...somebody else carry the elf! I do hope that they at least acknowledge what happened to her in the next movie. This story was wonderful, as usual. I'm still checking daily for updates for "Fear Cloaked in Courage" as well. Still my all-time favorite!

This is very good. I think that having harry breakdown was a good idea as there was so much going on. The malfoy manor scene was very intense and painful for all three of them
