Gwntan12 chapter 1 . 3/8 This is the best Castlevania fanfiction to exist. This and En Medias. |
Nickolaus Pacione chapter 1 . 3/16/2018 My roster on Tabloid Purposes knew about Dracula's Guest. I notice with the Castlevania fandom that some of you are well versed in Gothic Horror - setting this in the era of the Cold War ie Richard Matheson's real world climate will raise a few eyebrows. This story had me looking because I have a true crime yarn that emerged a month after this did. Konami was tapping Lovecraft's literary output for characters for the game series in the 1990s; as some might be crazy enough to put the two creative properties into play - Silent Hill and the Gothic Horror output in Castlevania. I was a teenager when the third installment was introduced and I was looking at Gothic Horror in college to write the material as I eventually became published with it in my own right. |
James Birdsong chapter 1 . 10/28/2006 Well it was excellent |
kyuuketsukirui chapter 1 . 5/16/2006 I liked this story quite a lot. I haven't played the Castlevania games since the 80s, so I'm not really familiar with newer installments, but even just reading it as a vampire story it was great. A few things did feel a bit anachronistic for the 50s, but that would be my only complaint. |
delete this please chapter 1 . 2/5/2003 Wonderful... Beautiful... Brilliant... I've read this several times and it still gets to me. Superb job. *Claps* |
Delilah chapter 1 . 7/23/2002 Ah! So good! The relationship between Dracula and Alucard just isn't explored enough in fan fics so I'm very glad to have read En Medias and Remembrance. I hope you write more along this line! |
Israfel chapter 1 . 5/26/2002 Absolutely brilliant. Although seeming a bit post-1950' at times, most of it managed to stay in time frame. Something which I must comment on, however, if the Belmont surname. Over time the surname had been lost, as evident by the Casltevania game Castlevania64 where the character Reinhardt Schneider is the one which the Belmont line therefor was descended from. Your writing style is very well done, and you make the characters come off as being real people rather than two dimensional figures. Especially dear to me was your original character Emily. The ending was quite tragic, keeping true to what society has hammered into our heads since we were young. Really a wonderful story. |
Jen chapter 1 . 3/10/2002 Ohhhhhh! Thank You so much for posting this! I absolutely *loved* 'En Medias'. The writing on that was wonderful and fluid, and this story is just as good. I'm a bit wary of original character stories, but this one totally changed my mind. The character was well-written and carefully planned out. And our favorite bad guy and our favorite hero make a great appearance. You weaved them both in wonderfully. I love this story! I hope you write more soon! |
