Oh my gosh. I always thought he had seen the socks cuz his feet was cold, and the moral was that "Dumbledore loved his life life exactly the way it was, blah blah blah" but this makes PERFECT SENSE!

Wow, I don't know what it was about this short drabble that got to me, but I seriously teared up at the ending line. I think it was just the fact that you took such a simple, light-hearted statement of Dumbledore's and put so much more depth into it.

I always did, even from the first book, think there was more to that statement than met the eye, but I didn't even think of it involving his family. Very bittersweet, but cute none the less. And the wording may have been simple, but it worked well.

So nicely done. ;D
