Oh that was lovely. All the things they do for each other against the other's express wishes, because that is truly what the other half of their heart *needs*. Honestly, it's the best thing about being {married, in love, loved} - when your other takes care of a need you didn't even recognize in yourself or might be denying.

Obviously, Merlin is a nuisance and only half competent servant, but he's Arthur's nuisance and someone else killing him would just be rude.

THis was very vute and I liked it a lot, even if Gaius's reasoning with the life-for-life confused me.

And she didn't even have to be a knight or a warlock to do it, she's just Gwen in all her awesomeness with a few handy tricks from Gaius ;D And I'm so glad Arthur told everyone, I understood why she didn't want him to, almost thought he wasn't going to, but I'm so glad he did :)

I like the way you write the characters, Arthur especially. It's difficult to make someone come across as an arrogant but likeable pig at the same time. You did just that. :) And I love the way he doesn't want to steal Gwen's spotlight. Aww.
