Hermione is living up to her reputation, as well, I see - making pronouncements as though she was the authority on all things. "But, you can't be a vampire!" ... "But those men are fictional characters! They weren't real!"

Harry's response to her is perfect: "Hermione, if I told you magic was real ten years ago, would you have believed me?" Perhaps his example will encourage her to stop and THINK before speaking so dogmatically. I wonder if she will apologize to Luna for disbelieving her.

"These are your options: stay neutral, join either the Ministry or the Order of the Phoenix, or join us. What's it going to be?" Will Ron and Ginny have a choice, given who their mother is? I can see the Twins going along. What about Hermione? Can her parents come along? Luna would probably love to stick with Harry, and her dad would definitely want her safe. I think Augusta might be convinced, as she may feel she and Neville have sacrificed enough for a Wizarding community that is so corrupt.

Late May, 2008? You have Harry removed from the Dursleys in December 1981. Why on earth would he still be a student at Hogwarts in 2008? That makes no sense, as he isn't a teacher. Is this some kind of weird time/alternate universe travel?

I'm glad Remus is going with Harry, wherever that happens to be. I wish they could take Sirius, too. I'm surprised Dumbledore let Harry escape his clutches. I didn't think he would.
