Oh my! This story was so beautiful and so beautifully written. Thanks for a wonderful read! I love Meir Link more now than ever. You really captured his charm and noble soul. It's easy to see why Charlotte would fall madly in love with him. Not only is he gorgeous, but gentlemanly, tender, thoughtful and kind to her. Would that human men were more like him, lol!

Good story, but why do you assume they were made vampires? In D's universe, vampires can and do breed. Carmilla and Meier were both born vampires, and as such are part of the Nobility (pure bloods) who command (regular) vampires (those turned rather then born). Now perhaps you gave reasoning for it in the credits, but if so, well then I defiantly missed it. But overall, I thought it was rather ridiculous.

Also, 4 or 5,000 years doesn't strike me as being young for a vampire. Carmilla was only 5,000 when she died, but her power was already great enough that she was able to live on as a spirit.

Anyway, good story overall. It's a shame you don't write more VHD fanfic. I myself am sadden by the lack of Carmilla fanfics, so maybe I'll write too someday.

AH! i love this fanfic is it soo good you really get an insight of meier though it might not being really true but i don't care i soo LOVE it lol it's awesome i could read it over and over again of which i most likely will read it over and over again lol. I still think that it is sad that charlotte dies even if meier then kills himself arggh i love this fanfic you did a great job! :)

This was a beautiful piece of work, the characterization was flawless, and it really did justice to the beautiful romance between these characters. Normally, I’d be mad because you devoted a chapter to author’s notes, but in this case I really feel it was a necessary addition, so I’m not going to chew you out about it.

Why did you have to end it? That was one of the best things I have read in a while; including stuff by book-selling authors.

Accourding to your "Acknowledgements and Thoughts", you basically captured the image and personallity of each character...

Except the fact that Meier was a noble (not like "he was a noble man" noble), and that he was born a vampire and not turned. I just thought I should let you know that.

But besides that, superb!
