LadyOfAnfalas chapter 1 . 9/8/2018 I realized when I tried to post my review that I already read and reviewed this story a few years ago, but I enjoyed it so much I wanted to say so again. This story absolutely succeeds in being a fascinating discussion of free will. Its also incredibly well-written and unique. You're one of the few authors I've come across on here who write elves accurately. I especially love how you really show the power of fear the Nazgul wield and, of course, I always love a good bromance. Great job! |
Nearing Midnight chapter 1 . 9/19/2017 I always get a kick out of this story whenever I read it. It's just such a fascinating concept - and brilliantly executed too, as is usual with your fics. :) thank you so much for sharing! |
Lydwina Marie chapter 1 . 2/12/2017 This was absolutely amazing and haunting, I loved it! The conversation between Elladan and Khamul was perfect! |
MistressOfImladris chapter 1 . 2/11/2017 I love this story, especially the last sentence! Great work!:) |
PSW chapter 1 . 8/22/2015 This was very interesting - quite the unexpected conversation. Thanks for writing! |
LadyOfAnfalas chapter 1 . 5/20/2015 Very interesting! It was a very original idea and I love what you did with Khamul's character. I also liked what you did with Elladan. |
Stormcutter684 chapter 1 . 5/2/2015 whoa. This is intense. Wow. Cannot imagine an elf and a nazgûl hanging around together. Kinda sad that Khamûl lied, I was actually growing curious about his character. It certainly as interesting though. Very VERY intense. |
dasz chapter 1 . 6/19/2014 Wow! Awesome, gripping story! I love your characterization of Khamul- totally believable. If the mood ever takes you, I think you could write an amazing origin story for him... you've really flushed out a character. Thanks so much! |
Morgul-squirrel chapter 1 . 3/8/2014 It's a pity that there conversation had to end so abruptly and on such a bad note. They were getting along so well. I love the dilouge. Khamul is an interesting guy. And I love both characters were portrayed. But that does raise some questions; did Khamul lie or not? Hmm... ;) Great job with this piece! |
Toaofwriting chapter 1 . 2/13/2014 Very well done indeed. This was really well-written. |
Blackgenius chapter 1 . 10/30/2013 This is outstanding. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed fanfiction this much. I really don't know how I can praise you enough for this. Firstly, you took on a tremendous task writing about the Nazgul, and your conception of Khamul was perfect; every word was believable. Your characterisation of Elladan was also well done, and the atmosphere of dread was maintained throughout. I loved everything about this fic and look forward to reading more of your work. PS: I got a great kick out of the line near the end about Curunir searching for 'artefacts'. Those little details go a long way. |
shadowsteed chapter 1 . 9/25/2013 This story is really awesome. :-) I always loved the Nazgul, because let’s face it, they are awesome, definetely the most fascinating of Sauron’s servants. :D I really like the concept of a Nazgul having a conversation with someone and this whole debate was really interesting. This fanfic goes straight into my Favourite Stories list. :-) Thank you very much. |
Bushwah chapter 1 . 5/18/2013 Sweet misdirection, ending perfection. |
Petrichora chapter 1 . 3/20/2013 Just realized I read this story and added it to my favorites (weeks ago), but that I never left a review! :O Ugh, that's what I get for reading stories on my phone while waiting in long lines: I always forget to go back and leave a review. . I very much enjoyed this story. I love the idea of Elladan having a conversation with one of the Nine: I thought the entire thing was very well-written, and it was fascinating to gain some insight into their mentality. I imagine that it was a challenge to write, but you pulled it off beautifully (as usual). Also, I love the ending between Elladan and Elrohir. As soon as Elladan woke up and saw his twin, I felt so incredibly happy: I thought, "Phew! He's safe!" Although I almost feel bad for Khamûl: I wouldn't fancy having Glorfindel after me (although I sure would like to meet him)! |
TheEvilPeaches chapter 1 . 11/19/2012 Wonderful and dark. I love the dialogue and the tension! You truly write the Nazgul well- sinister. |
