TheButterflyComposer chapter 17 . 3/6/2019 This fic made me think in many different ways, always a good sign for a fanfic. 1) The US government status on 'native blood' is arguably state-sponsored racial segregation in the 21st century. 2) Jacob is risking a LOT for Bella and 3) Bella fucking understands that. 4) As young adults (especially Jacob), they are allowed to fuck up and screw over each other and their relationship both malicious and thoughtlessly, but also make up for it and recognise when they have been cruel or stupid. 5) The hooky scene was terrifying. 6) Every Bella goes to college fic I've read over the past two days has been gold. Apparently everyone has good ideas about what to do there. 7) Billy and Charlie are somehow even cooler here than they are in the film series, which I hope you understand is high praise indeed. In general, this was a well written and very enjoyable fic to read. Thanks. |
MV chapter 17 . 12/21/2018 Wow, this story is amazing. I've read it at least six times. You did a wonderful job keeping the characters consistent, even if their canon personalities didn't have a whole lot of screentime. I especially loved Embry and Quil- Embry and Emily's romance was pure perfection! I sort of wish there was a spinoff with them and/or Quil's bachelor days. Bella and Jacob's romance was so well done! You wrote their friendship and the slowly blurring lines so beautifully. Thank you for keeping them in character :) I loved how you snuck in mentions of the canon imprinting couples while not pairing them up. The tribal politics and traditions were fascinating. I'm so glad you did research on the actual Quileute tribe. I love how mundane this story is- there is no supernatural drama, just people living their lives. It's very realistic and easier to picture in my head. Human Nature was and will always be a joy to read! |
Guest chapter 6 . 4/25/2018 Lol, I’ve got no sympathy for Mike. Getting bothered of the effort placed in a relationship that fails is bad form. Idk. |
TinaF chapter 17 . 1/29/2018 Wonderful story! Thank you for sharing. |
Soledad Sanchez chapter 17 . 1/22/2018 realy good, that girl avonluxfeu, said everything. I love this story. |
benitez.vaye chapter 15 . 8/15/2017 the diner scene was hilarious. but honestly this is one of my favorite books to reread. |
avonluxfeu chapter 17 . 7/25/2017 I don't really know how to start this review. I'm usually a very picky reader, if the plot is not interesting enough or there are too many spelling and/or grammatical mistakes, I would drop the story right away. But, this story is EXTREMELY WELL WRITTEN. In my opinion, writing a story that takes place in an alternate reality, where the characters we know and love are living a different life than what should have been, but still in the same universe, is really hard. You need to think about how to make the characters different but not entirely OOC. I personally love the way you portray the characters in this story. All of them. Good or bad. It's extremely realistic. We're humans, we make mistakes and those mistakes shape us in the end. Reading how Jacob and Bella would have build their relationship if the supernatural world never touched them was a very interesting experience. How their personalities and characters would be when they're not involved in so many conflicts in the supernatural world, it was so believable. Plot-wise, this story does not over-exaggerate and there's no unnecessary drama, in my opinion. The problems they faced are so real. The way you wrote how every relationship has its flaws and it's not always rose tinted glasses and rainbows, how problems doesn't always come from the outside but it could also come from the inside, how communication is always key in a relationship. Add to the fact that there's no cliché love that just fell down on your lap. Jacob and Bella actually had to work on their relationship and fight for it. And when in the end, no matter what, the Pack actually supported each other, no need for supernatural connection and mind-link. That part was really raw. I especially love the prologue and epilogue :) I really don't know what to say anymore. I think that's really all. I know this story is very old and you would probably never see this review, but I feel like this story deserves more reviews and favorites. I don't know why you haven't at least reached 500 on either, this story deserves more. That was a long review, perhaps one of my longest. But alas, this story makes me want to write a long and very much praising review. Keep flourishing. -AVLX |
Guest chapter 16 . 3/27/2017 They are so good together. This story portrays the natural Bella/Jacob love - without the supernatural to make it more dramatic - in a beautiful way. |
Guest chapter 15 . 3/27/2017 Ahh! Claire in this story is GOLD! The best character ever. That diner scene was so fun :D |
glitterguns chapter 17 . 3/27/2017 This is such a great story! It really should have more reviews. I guess thats what happens with an AH story with Bella/Jake instead of Bella/Edward. But its recommended! |
Ms. O'Hara chapter 17 . 1/16/2017 Great story, thank you! This is one of my favorite all human stories. Very good. I kinda hoped maybe for one more chapter or an epilogue or a sequel or something that would tell us what happened next. Didn't want it to end. :) |
no entiendo nada chapter 8 . 4/2/2016 this is such a cute story! this chapter was pretty funny too. |
Nesa chapter 17 . 9/8/2015 Wooo! Read this for a second time & enjoyed it just as much so now i'm sad that i've reached the end. :( Thank you for writing and creating this beautiful story. Even though I got on this ride just for Jacob&Bella, I really also took a liking to all of the other charaters that you developed! This journey gave me so many feeeeeeeelsssss! Will probably stumble across this story once again in the future and have another enjoyable read. I appreciate you for sharing your talents & putting this out into the world. |
starlineshine chapter 3 . 4/3/2015 Kelly. I hate you. But I also kind of feel bad for you. It's weird. I'm conflicted. |
wanderinginmoonlight chapter 17 . 12/7/2013 I love this story. I don't often read all human fics, but the concept of this was brilliant. I seriously would have read it as an original novel. |
