I never liked using paladins, frankly; the only horseback units I use are valkyries, (MIST), just because they have so many set-backs, and RD pretty much hated anything that didn't have good caps. Dx (Gave my imbue to Sothe; for some reason, I GET RNG-BLESSED WITH MAGIC. DE FAWK).

This fic was hilarious

This is VERY amusing. Characterisation is spot on. Ike and Soren are just gorgeous, with the way Ike protects Soren, and how Soren responds to Ike. Oscar and Kieran likewise utterly brilliant.

Oh my God, this is so hysterically batshit that I laughed out loud. You have Kieran down PERFECTLY: it's really hard to write him interacting with anyone besides Oscar, but you did it.

Also I GIVE IMBUE TO SOMEONE ELSE, TOO! ...mostly because by the time this scene rolls around, Kieran already has Vantage and Provoke... to make people attack him first, and he promptly kills them before they ever get in a hit XD

But anyway your characterization was awesome. This was totally hilarious. And your take on Soren's organizing equipment was cute: I can totally see him being OCD about who has what and when. :3

I've not played either 9/10 to a finish (consequence of logistics), but I found Kieran's bullheaded declarations of rivalry to mark him as intolerable for me as a character. He's so lost in his own insipid little world that its laughable if he actually comes up for a breath of realism. Given that, I'm slightly chagrined that you gave him the scroll. Note: this is just my personal opinion on the matter, not commenting on the story directly.

As far as the story goes, you put in a refreshing amount of humor and well, I guess humor. LOL. I laughed a great deal whilst reading this; though the Ike/Soren interplay sort of took away from all that and left a feeling of 'I wanna puke now', it fit in with what you were writing and is probably more a reaction from my personal opinions about Soren as a character and the pairing (however it's skewed) in general. So don't let it get you down - you wrote a piece that was fun to read - I hope you don't let my gut reaction to a part of it think that this review is anything less than positive. K?
