Wonderful! Oh dear, I thought I was going to cry for a minute there. But good idea! One of those creative things that you don't realize how much you needed to read that until you do. :)

Anyways, very in- character, loved the little motherly Hunith (squee!), and the sadness was wonderful. :) The ending made me have a fangirl moment. XD Great job with that.

Loved it. It shows how difficult it is to leave home. I haven't left my home yet, but ... well, there's a complex case going on in my family, so I recognize the feelings Merlin feels.

Merlin seemed to be so happy to arrive to Camelot, of course he was. Camelot was much bigger and grander than Ealdor was, and it is always exciting to see something wonderful... But he must have been sad to leave his life at Ealdor, and his mother, and I think It would have happened something like that...

Loved the fact about Will, that he would betray Merlin, if it meant to save the village. It was shown in "The Moment of Truth", where Will tried to convince Merlin to use magic to save the village, no matter what.

Wonderful story, shows how scary it is to leave home. A little angsty, but we all know that things turn out (relatively) fine for Merlin. A great read :)

About time I repaid the compliments after your lovely reviews of mine. I found this easy and enjoyable to read. Poor Merlin! love a little angst - especially in one-shots. I like the idea too; never really thought of his leaving; when we see him so happy to arrive in Camelot. Although I suppose I really should have.

Awesome! I love it! Course my favorite line of the story in Merlin hates how his face gives him away when he cries. I loved the ending too cause we all know what is going to happen!

I really enjoyed this. Never been a huge fan of Hunith but it was nice to something between her and Merlin before the main series started, something about their relaionship. You kept both IC well, and the last paragraph gave me goosebumps!

Awesome-loved it! I loved how you got your feelings out about going to uni in the story, very good and well done. I was nervous last year as well, but as campus is only 20 minutes away from home, it's not that bad. lol.

Nice Job! You know, I was wondering where Merlin was from. Thanks to you, I now know! This was a very good one-shot. It showed the tug-of-war feelings between mother and son, as well as a small peek into Merlin's pre-Camelot days. Written very well and as usual, delightful to read! :D
