This reminds me of some of the great humor writers of fantasy parodies. I love this.

I love how long it took for the Golem to realize he'd been duped XD poor guy.

Excellent short story. The story reads a bit like the epics reading, pompous (in a good way) and utterly sarcastic. I love it!

I enjoy the build up where it is stated that the Golem is a fearsome creature that is likely to mash intruders into a wet pulp but still have some thoughts. The imagry of a person dumping water on top of its head makes me want to go make a doodle...if I do. I'll scan it and show you.

What I really like is the end where he let Simon was free to move on by a simple play of words. It seemed to imply that Simon is a merchant of some type that needed to deal with the reality that "one needs money!" and used that truth to get into the castle without a problem.

The ironic ending is awesome. Thanks for the fic.

I am absolutely in love with your writing style. You are descriptive yet not boring. Your characters are largely original, but they are interesting and believable.

Also, I absolutely adore that you used Simon! Nobody really writes about him anymore, and I find that quite sad. It's very refreshing to see a story that features him, in some way.

It was really sad to realize that this is just a one part story. This is the type of fic that I wish would go on for several chapters, even the length of a full book if you were willing to write it.
