I loved this! As a Cuban American I feel you accurately covered both sides really well! This totally made my day :) I love that there was little to no Spanish and yet such a strong Carribean influence 3 The only thing missing was a few mojitos (- blatant idea for another fic with this pairing)

I had so much fun reading this story. It had me giggling, swooning and unable to stop reading. I love how much research went into this story, I adore it when a Hetalia story teaches me interesting history tidbits, too. Cuba and England have such amazing chemistry! Also, Cuba and America... they're hilarious! America acting like a Disapproving (with italics and bold!) father and Cuba goading him was just epic!

I wasn't expecting this to work, but it did! Amazing! And considering that my Hetalia OTP is the same (World/England FTW) I just couldn't resist reading this. Again, amazing fic, thank you for posting it here, it would've been lost in the massive archive that is the Kink Meme.

I still find it very funny that people keep referring to the Iberian Union, saying that England helped Portugal and all, but they always forget that then England himself took control of Portugal after the Napoleon Invasion (sort of, kind of.. well, not in the literal sense but it was still not very nice).

I still love England too much for my own good, even if England's reputation in Portuguese territory isn't as good as people in the Hetalia fandom think it is (but the portuguese still hate Spain more xD)

But forget Portugal/England, Cuba/England was awesome! XD Definitely a favourite.

Also... are you sure Communist isn't a STD?

Cuba/England is an interesting pairing, but this chapter left me totally fascinated. That's what I'd call literature.

Generally their rivalry is described very simply with the who tops or who wears the handcuffs theme, which becomes boring after a time. So it was really refreshing to read this chapter. You did justice to their characters. This is the real British Empire England and (past)Conquistador Spain. I'd love to read more of them, or just more of BE England. :) wink wink

You perfectly hit on my kink: gloves. Especially Arthur wearing gloves. Just so elegant and graceful, yeah quite feminine too, but Arthur can wear them naturally and they don't make him look gay. I'm so sad he is always the uke. He could be one hell of a seme. :) Or sometimes uke sometimes seme. It could be historically more accurate. There isn't any nation who could be all the time seme.

And lastly you surely made a lot of research. I really appreciate your hard work. It's good to read stories with

Why are you so awesome?

This explicit lemon mixed with a perfectly humorous and romantic ending just made my day and everything was just so amazingly sexy and hot and just so right. Cuba talking dirty was definitely the deliciously sinful cherry on top.

This fic was brilliant from beginning to end and each chapter made me fall in love with this pairing more and more the further I read. I know I've said this already (and I know I've said that phrase more than once, too XD) but your writing is just so wonderfully expressive and descriptive and it's always such a pleasure to read - I always enjoy reading your fics, no matter what the pairing, genre, or setting.

I really wish I had more words of praise for you (it's that ending that has me all awestruck and tongue-tied..or finger-tied or whatever), but I'm afraid I'll have to leave it there for now. I'm really looking forward to see what else you come up with in the future :3

You know, even though England was being a sneaky liar, I liked him. Probably because I have a thing for Pirate!England. Spain was just...he was amazing. And kid!Cuba is so adorably naive and his admiration for England is cute, too, even though England is being a total pirate. But let's face it; who could resist England's charms?

Aw! I LOVED it, so sad to see it end, but it was amazing while it lasted! And although it IS an unusual pairing (though to be honest almost every pairing works with England, because of all the craziness he's pulled over the years) you made me absolutely fall in love with it and made me want to write my own fics for the pairing! It was, simply AMAZING!
