mille libri chapter 1 . 4/22/2013 Yay, you have more stories! This is so sweet and so sad and so hopeful all at the same time. You capture the deep love between Mary and Dickon so well. |
acethespian chapter 1 . 3/12/2013 That was sweet. I love Dickon and Mary romance stories. |

weesh chapter 1 . 3/9/2012 The symmetry in this story is beautiful. And the way they care for each other - that is a real relationship where one can strengthen the other and vice versa as life demands. Thanks for writing and posting this for us to enjoy. |
Opaque chapter 1 . 11/4/2011 You really are a good writer. Most impressive. Such interesting dialogue. I love that you make things so visual with overloading paragraphs with excessive adjectives. Just wonderful. A very satisfying one shot. |
Silver Ash chapter 1 . 8/20/2011 Wonderfully written. I really enjoyed your style and hearing everything from Dickon's point of view. And I think you really captured Dickon's way of speaking, at least from what I can remember. Beautiful. |
LilyGraceVirtue chapter 1 . 5/1/2011 Very sweet! I absolutely loved it! Please write more for the SG! You're so talented! |
Ithilium chapter 1 . 1/9/2011 This was so beautiful and well written. I loved the concept of their love and fear of thunder, and how it shifted between them. Very genius of you. I really enjoy the comfortable and easiness that you portray in their relationship. In your writings, Mary and Dickon are meant for one another...simple as that. Thanks again for another great piece :) |
elle87 chapter 1 . 8/23/2010 This is superbly written. And sad. But it is all in a good sort of sad way, it made my heart squeeze. Excellent job. |
Clio1792 chapter 1 . 8/22/2010 This is a great, lovely story: the juxtaposition of the meaning of thunder, before and after Dickon's war experience, is not only a strong narrative conceit, but a genuinely thoughtful evocation of a war veteran's perspective, and the demons they battle as they return to civilian life. And Mary's affirmation of her love for Dickon and her loyalty to him is satisfying and romantic. Her love will heal him! Terrific! Clio |
