Lmb111514 chapter 9 . 2/6/2019 This story was really sweet and beautiful to read! |
Marilyn chapter 9 . 3/24/2018 Hey you, I just wanted to let you know that I’ve been reading your stories nonstop for a few days, and I think you have one of the best writing styles among authors of Hetalia fanfiction, and you actually put effort into it, which clearly shows in the best way possible. I keep learning new facts from reading your stories, which is a nice bonus. People are still enjoying this story in 2018, just thought that I might let you know. |
send bob chapter 7 . 10/25/2017 shoot yourself in the foot with a needle gun |
Guest chapter 9 . 9/12/2017 One important correction. Clinton was an absolute monster. He was responible for banning gay marriage with the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996. If any president should receive credit for helping get gay marriage achieved, it would be Obama. |
xXChibiTeapotXx chapter 2 . 1/25/2017 Been meaning to review this for a while. Especially since this is my second time reading this. It's just as enjoyable as the first. May I say, the way you write Arthur is love. It makes my inner England (well, Fem!England) happy. |
Guest chapter 9 . 10/4/2016 Wow, so six years later and you've still got people reviewing, myself included. That just goes to show how amazing this fanfic is. I'll admit, I've only found this story recently. It's wonderfully written, though, and I do wish that I've found this sooner. |
DarkLeader16 chapter 5 . 6/24/2016 this fight scene lovin it |
Dreamshipper229 chapter 9 . 5/14/2016 I can't believe I finished it! I've been on this nonstop reading marathon for like five hours now and now that it's over I don't know what to do. This was amazing honestly, and although I felt Arthur was a real jerk at times, the characters were portrayed really nicely. Great job, you are clearly a very talented writer, keep it up! Xoxo |
Guest chapter 6 . 3/20/2016 i love it |
Guest chapter 1 . 3/20/2016 yay |
dbwidifandmgkrkskf chapter 9 . 2/24/2016 So...this was fantastic. As in, pulling-an-all-nighter-to-finish-it fantastic. It sort of reminded me why USUK is such a great OTP, despite the way their personalities clash; funnily enough, the way you wrote this seems to reinforce the Meyers-Briggs Typology hypothesis that introverts and extroverts really do pair off more successfully than we'd think. Sorry, babbling... Anyway, thank you so much for writing this! I'm now going to go make my friend read it, haha. -Michaela M. |
Diurnal Days chapter 9 . 1/24/2016 Omgees, I got an account! :D (I'm new at this thing, so if my name isn't displaying correctly, this is Diurnal Days.) Anyways, on to the review. I could gush on and on about how much I love this fic (and I will), but I have to say something first: You're pretty good at writing happy fics. While this fic isn't merely a happy fic, it's still pretty happy in my opinion. At least, this chapter is. I'm not so sure about the rest. XD This has been said so many times already, but this is one of the only fanfictions I've read that portrays relationship development realistically. From lustful infatuation to uneasy but passionate love to happy old-married-couple adoration, this fic portrays different stages of a healthy, long-lasting relationship quite well. The skill that you write your romance with makes me wonder if you have a lot of relationship experience or if you're just that freaking talented. I love the culture and history that's imbued within this fic. The first time I read this, I learned a good amount about post-WWII Great Britain. I wasn't aware that the Lend-Lease took that long to be paid back in full. O-o Also, Alfred and Arthur are absolutely hilarious, in a good way. Those two lovey-dovey goofs. On a side note, I'm glad that you didn't portray insecurity as something that completely goes away once your significant other or someone else you love comes into your life. Arthur is still a little insecure about his looks, I noticed, in the modern-day segment, but he isn't quite as insecure as he was in the 1950s. He seems to have accepted that Alfred really does love him even though he might not completely love himself. Personally, I believe that insecurity never really goes away, it just shrinks until it's almost harmless. Thank you for not falling into the trappings of so many hurt/comfort/romance fanfics. I live in the US of A, and yeah, it is strange that a lot of Americans don't have electric kettles. I guess most people around here are too addicted to coffee to bother with a decent electric kettle. XD But I do have one at home that's really good for making herbal tea. Maybe I'll try using it to make instant ramen sometime. Instant ramen is delish. ;) Amaranthine does seem to be a good flower to describe nationxnation love, since nations are probably immortal, after all. By the way, this is one of the only fanfictions that I reread on a regular basis. I'm pretty nitpicky when it comes to my reading materials, so I don't reread fics unless I think they're the top of the barrel (if such a metaphor exists). This fic has the honour of being one of the only happy-ish fics that I actually bother to reread! :D I guess that's all I have to say for now. I'm excited for the next fic you write, whatever it is. Toodles, you instant ramen noodle! |
sadistw chapter 9 . 10/26/2015 wait... people actually use kettles here? Dude, that sounds so fancy, if I want tea I fill a plastic cup with water and shove it in the microwave. |
Guest chapter 1 . 9/16/2015 Thanks for putting in that Iggy situation! It annoys me when people have America constantly call England that. |
BooksAreLikeChocolateButBetter chapter 3 . 9/15/2015 SO MUCH ANGST. |
