Wow, just wow, stories like this precisely why I love fanfiction.
It been a very long time ago since I read YYH fanfiction and I feel like you have set the bar to high for me to try to find other gems in this fandom, because this story is top-qualitly stuff.

I quikcly found myself very intruiged by the mystery of why Saiyuri wanted info on Kurma, because the first scene was just that amazing, and my heartached when it was revealed what the poor girl had to go through because of him.

Chiyo is a icon and I loved her from first introduction (one of the best oc ever) and the way she handled herself with creepy-father-shit was so great, I just want to thank you for sharing her with the world? She is wonderful, clever, funny and so cool. I love the idea of a girl's weekend, i look forwared to it!

I'm loving both of these OC characters, they are very much the female versions of Hiei and Kurama and I'm loving every devious, asocial, manipulatively dark moment of it.

I have no idea if you're still reading these, but I saw on your tumblr that you asked back in January if you should post some updates to this story. I really hope you see this because me - and quite a few other people - are still reading, and would still love to hear from you.
I read Future Talk back in the day, and it's one of the only fics I've liked enough to go back and re-read multiple times. So far, Fakes and Fiends has the potential to actually be a lot better. I love that you're making a base on a friendship between two incredibly different women - both of whom are strong, fascinating characters on their own. The bond they're forming is really very moving, very intense and very sweet. You don't see that a lot, and honestly - while I got to really like Ren by the end of Future Talk - I was never as invested in the Dani/Ren relationship as I already am with Chiyo/Saiyuri. I'm not sure I've seen a lot of female relationships lately I've been as instantly drawn to as the two of them.
Additionally, I really cannot wait to see how the two of them will interact with the Yu Yu Hakusho crew. I think having two female, human characters as smart, driven and wildly inventive as the two of them in an almost (but not totally) antagonistic role could bring out a really interesting dynamic with the Detective team, and I'm really, really hoping we get to see it.
Having said all that (and standing by every word of it), you may not be getting many reviews when you first start to update, because if everybody else is like me... they may not know to check for them. Since only like 3 chapters were ever posted on AO3 that I could see, until I noticed your tumblr post I thought you'd given up on all of this completely, so I only checked back when I wanted to reread things. If you're interested in getting more feedback quicker, your best bet is probably to make a few chapters and post them each like a week or two apart for a while, so people have a better chance of seeing it's still going.
Anyway, I hope you see this, and I really really hope you're still interested since January, because I already love these characters. I want to see where their stories are going, and how they're going to grow and face what's clearly coming for them - with Saiyuri's creepy dad and the Black Book Club, and being investigated by the Spirit World, and probably that whole possession thing coming back to bite them (or work for them?) in crazy ways. I really do feel like I'd be missing out if I never find out how all of it would happen.
So, Graphospasm... you have a wonderful day, weekend, week, month... however long until you see this. If you never do, then I'm still sending out hopeful and encouraging wishes into the universe anyway. And happy writing! This story really is thought out well and I’m in love with the original characters as they are wonderful. You have done a great job with this! Though I am safe you left the story as incomplete. I popped over to AO3 and there was only three chapters posted and I plan to write a lil review over there as well. Hopefully you will have some time, energy, and/or inspiration to keep creating such a great plot. Thank you for your work!

I'm guessing... that Saiyuri saw Kurama do something supernatural and he decided to gaslight her to make her think she's crazy.

OMG! I fuckin' love this fanfic! In the beggining I was like "woah, where's the main characters from YYH?" But your OC's stealed the camera and I love that! They're so powerful and interesting! I really hope you continue this great history :D
