Just felt this sudden urge to ship and after reading nearly all of them (like 2, 3 more to go?) I've got to say that this one really jerked my heart.

I was going "NO!" and gasping when Leaf pushed Red away and told him that he shouldn't give everything up for her. THOUGHT FOR SURE IT WOULD BE A SAD ENDING!

Bu then you twisted it and let them be together. Bursted out laughing at

"And when she saw our hands twisted together, triumphantly, her face fell, because I knew she was considering how she could possibly win a double battle against Red and me."

Absolutely wonderful. Made me feel an array of emotions~ Hope you write more for this pairing in the future :D

the ending was just so friggin sappy I loved it! would have never thought of puting Lyra in there. Its so simple yet the ending made me wanna cry!

God this was the most hearfelt Red/Leaf thing I've ever read. I love how you created their interaction with each other and Red was such a sweetie 3

I really like this. It gives much consideration to both of the player trainers existing really well and why the other trainer wouldn't be on Mt. Silver.

There are some stories that are difficult to find something to critique. Sadly that is just the truth.

The only thing in this story that needs any work is the dialogue. It's a bit wooden in some places. And Leaf repeats herself a bit too much... but it could be attributed to babbling; however, I think she tells him that he can't quit his dream at least three times... possibly four. Yep, four times that she says she won't be the one to let him give up his dream. Sometimes there are reasons to drive the point home, and others... it just gets repetitive. Especially when it's obvious that Red has thought this through. I think some of it could be turned into her own personal thoughts, rather than making her say it. It could also be cut in some places, and it wouldn't affect the story.

And the story is very good, almost made me teary (but in a happy way). I really like that this takes place from the simple act of meeting Red at the end of Gold/Silver (which are my favorite games, but I'm waiting eagerly for Black and White). I always will picture Red as being from the Pokemon Manga though (I loved the adventure series... Ash and Red will never be the same to me. Anime is separate from the Manga).

The detail of Leaf's emotions are the selling point here, and I felt that you handled them gracefully. It really made the ending that much stronger... but, the ending also had me pause and re-read it. You may want to fix up that last paragraph just a little bit, around the point of Lyra's arrival (then again... I may be reading it tired. I understand it, but it took a second reading.)

I loved the story though, it made me feel all warm and happy... and now I'm going to leave work smiling. Thank you.
