Mrs-N-Uzumaki chapter 5 . 5/26/2018 I love the many different interpretations of Jess's "huh" and "okay". I can hear the variations clearly in my head. |
Mrs-N-Uzumaki chapter 4 . 5/26/2018 Hahaha, I died when he wrote it in Chinese! And kept testing different languages. It's so much like Jess to do this! |
Mrs-N-Uzumaki chapter 3 . 5/26/2018 The younger man opened the fridge and took out a beer which was immediately confiscated by his uncle. LOL, I can easily picture this. And of course Jess figured out the answer. I really wish the show would've dabbled on this more. Not like in big obvious situations that proves his intelligence, but like subtle hints where he easily solves something that takes a second for everyone else around him to go, "holy crap, that's actually genius." |
Mrs-N-Uzumaki chapter 2 . 5/26/2018 I love that everyone has the same headcanon that Jess listens to music to drown out the screaming matches and/or nightmares growing up. I wish they depicted this more on the show. Great work! |
Mrs-N-Uzumaki chapter 1 . 5/26/2018 I love Jess and his little gestures! It honestly melted my heart when he fixed the toaster without saying anything, so yeah everything on this chapter is 100% canon! |
Guest chapter 12 . 1/27/2018 This is a great story, thank you |
KEMLEM81 chapter 12 . 5/17/2015 I absolutely loved this collection and hope you write more in the future. |
KEMLEM81 chapter 10 . 5/17/2015 This was beautiful :) |
KEMLEM81 chapter 6 . 5/17/2015 Wow! This was gut wrenching. I'd never thought of this possibility. |
Y-Yukiko-Y chapter 12 . 11/26/2013 Clearly not safe for work, because I cried like a baby at the last stories. Really, my colleages asked me why I was criying and I didn' know what to tell them. These stories were amazing. You made me laugh, made me cry (so many times), made me feel and made me see much more about this characters than the show did. Hope you'll write more about these two and I'm definitely going to check your other stories. Thanks for sharing :) |
Mauli chapter 12 . 1/26/2012 It was one of the most story ever! |
sfbxfcb chapter 12 . 11/25/2011 wonderful! |
LUCY JENNINGS chapter 5 . 9/10/2011 They are so good, nearly read all the chapters, love how Jess and Luke are explained so well, wish I could write like that! |
Iscah McKrae chapter 12 . 1/9/2011 Okay...I thought I was sobbing before. I need buckets now. The sobbing began when I read: "Good night, Uncle Luke," and did not stop for the rest of the story. This was perfectly written. I don't think I've ever been so touched by another story in my life. I can think of one movie that came close...but this...THIS...ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh It broke my heart. But also healed it. If there were ever to be a Gilmore Girls movie...this is how it should end...even if that would make it less of a Gilmore "Girls" movie...it is the most powerful and fitting ending I could think of. After all...Luke's Diner WAS Gilmore Girls! That reminds me...this is the only time I ever have or likely ever will bawl at the mention of Kirk. When you said that Jess had turned the diner over to his care, initially, I smiled, then I laughed for a moment through my tears, and then I broke down all over again...realizing how, in a strange way, Kirk had been the next closest to Luke - after Jess, Lorelai, Rory and Liz...next on the list would be Kirk...and running that diner, though he may never acknowledge the fact, would be the proudest thing on earth for Kirk...and, once again, intuitively wise Jess would realize that. And, what Rory said about the magnetic stamp...perfect...and the stories Luke told Jess' son...and the "crazy" rumors he'd heard...priceless...and Lucas Mark Mariano...just as it should be...and had me broken all over again. THIS was my favorite story of all of them. Next favorite, would be "I have a request to make," then "Why are you calling?" then "Yet another request," then "It's been a year." The rest are all equally good. And I will eagerly read "Wish you were here." But not tonight. Because it's after 3 am, and I have an early morning tomorrow. But, I just "couldn't put this down." I still say, you need to write books. I'd settle for a German to English translation. :) |
Iscah McKrae chapter 11 . 1/9/2011 :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Masterfully written: "Don't lie to me." "The pain lessens a little, you know." "The pain to be refused by a Gilmore… It doesn't disappear completely, but it does lessen. It's hell at first, but it will get better." "But, Luke. The two of you… There is too much to never have anything to do with her ever again and if it's just friendship…" "Imagine living completely without her. Can you to that? 'Cause that's the alternative. Are you ready to do that, because I can tell you that this is painful far beyond the rejection you're dealing with now. Give it time, Luke. Just give it time. Trust me." Jess is the only person who could possibly have helped Luke through this. I'm so glad he had him to turn to. And, the ending...*getting choked up*...well, to see my reaction to that, just look at all the big smiley-faces at the top of this review. :D WONDERFUL! |
