I thgink you did a excellent job of portraying the gang, staying true to the Universe background as well as adding a few touches from other sources. I especially approved of your treatment of Mihoshi as she's my number one favorite character. Too many stories make her a total incompetent crybaby with the IQ of a goldfish. And while I prefer the three Tenchi Muyo OVA series' background for her, yours does her no dishonor.

The story itself was gripping- this could easily have been an actual TV sequel to Tenchi Universe and I found the character of Tris to be amusing and realistic- and your postscript notes ring true- he would have driven a Japanese friend crazy in RL. :-)

Over all, this is a great tale and it deserves to be ranked high among Tenchi Fanfics.

This is a fantastic story I really like the thought of having a US kid coming into that house making even more a melting pot and tris had to be one of the best characters i have ever seen he is funny as hell. Not to mention he gets, in my opinion, the best girl of the series. Speaking of Kiyone the whole "love taps" suits her perfectly I think.

Hi! I can't even tell you how much fun this is to read! Everyone is in character and hilarious! Every once in a while your story drags a little, but I love the dialogue. Seriously, I'm staying up way too late to read this. I know you've already finished this, but I figured I'd express my appreciation anyway! Great stuff!

Damn good read, mate. DAMN GOOD. It feels like I'm reading/watching an actual extension of the anime, and THAT, my friend, is something many, many, MANY fanfiction authors cannot seem to write.

Argh, tried to review a while ago but I was brutally defeated by "Server is busy" error message.

I thoroughly enjoyed this entire story, beginning to end. I meant to leave more reviews periodically but I just couldn't make myself stop reading long enough to write the reviews.

I enjoyed the portrayal of all your characters throughout the novel. Personally I like the storyline of the OVAs better than Universe's however, Kiyone is one of the characters I really miss in the OVAs. (To anyone that says Noike is a Kiyone-clone, "Bah!" They're quite different.) Thus I liked that Kiyone got to spend a good bit of time in the limelight in this story.

The plot was solid for this novel, and the climactic climax of the final fight proved to be quite... "different," in a good way though! Your ending also tied things up neatly but with just enough loose ends for a possible sequel. As for the aforementioned sequel, well you'd damn well better write it!

Honestly, I liked this story enough that I will probably go back and read it again while I wait and hope for a sequel. At least, not until after I've caught up on my sleep again anyway.

In terms of overall quality and enjoyment, I can count on one hand the number of fics that are this story's peers in any section.

Another five chapters and I continue to be impressed with your work.

Your characters are developing nicely, Tris in particular has proven to be an excellent addition to the severely outnumbered male cast. They are also well-rounded with balanced vices and virtues. It's good to see this, as it makes all your characters feel more real. Tris in particular has some very admirable qualities as well as some personality flaws that he needs to come to grips with. All in all, your character work thus far has left me highly impressed, especially because OCs tend to gum up the works so often in fanfiction.

I am relieved that things between Tris and Kiyone have worked themselves out for the time being, although there will undoubtably be more challenges in the future. Kiyone is a great character, but of course there are going to be many obstacles to overcome in order for her to be in a relationship with anybody.

You've had many memorable scenes up to this point, and the characters have all behaved believably throughout them all. The bit with Ryoko and the tea sales was spot-on with how you'd expect Ryoko to behave. Oh, and the hypnotized Mihoshi mess in an earlier chapter was hilarious.

I'll try to tear myself away from reading to review again after I've made some more progress through this great story.

Ok... I've been plowing through this fic non-stop since I found it and figured that I would take a bit of a figurative breather in order to leave a review based on my reaction to the first 5 chapters.

You have a massive story here, almost 400k words and less than 50 reviews to show for it, which in my opinion seems highly unfair for all the work you've put into this, so I am going to try to do my part and review here and there as I progress through the series rather than only once after finishing the whole thing. As I said before, this story is massive, too massive to sum up in a single review.

Lesse, these first chapters have been very good. You've done a good job introducing the characters, spelling and grammar have been well above average, and the story so far seems to be developing nicely. To be honest, for the first chapter or two I was rather afraid the character Tristram wouldn't mesh properly into Tenchi's "family", however your writing has rather quickly put my fears to rest.

The story is listed under "General" and I can see why. So far you've managed to include plenty of comedy, budding romance(s), suspense and even a tiny bit of action and blended them all together so well that you can't categorize it more specifically.

I like that you've shown the burden on Tenchi's father as a result of all the extra-terrestrial houseguests. It is something that is seen in the official stories, but that I haven't seen in many fanfics.

Well, these are just some of my initial impressions of your fic. I'll try to remember to take the time to review again in another five chapters or so.

This fanfiction is a magnificent achievement. Good characters, well plotted, involving dialogue, and I for one deeply appreciate the research and footnotes. But I do have a bone to pick. The scene with Nagi confronting Ryoko defies belief. Nagi is a bounty hunter, not an assassin; she can do "dead or alive" but not "dead, period". Even more, her ego absolutely requires that she finish the job she started and defeat Ryoko in fair fight. (Remember, she refused to fight Ryoko even when Ryoko challenged her, knowing that her opponent was wounded.)

Fully realizing my impertinence, I would suggest making the scene a comic interlude. Ryoko might still be recovering (it took her some time after Kagato's strike) and Nagi would go from annoyed to apoplectic as she realizes that 1) her target is wounded again 2) the GP is watching in the person of Kiyone and Mihoshi and is on Ryoko's side 3) even Ayeka is willing to defend Ryoko. You might also have Ken-Ohki perform the "Be-da!" when Nagi orders him to leave Ryo-Ohki alone.

Even when I have not read it at all, ( I have start to read it, even when I don't like TU story,'cause the lack of knowlege of TU) but I think it is very good so I kicked myself to read this fic, when I'm ready I make sure to admit another review.

I read this story a while ago and enjoyed it very much. I would also enjoy reading a sequel. A lot of stories have the hero caught between the wrong girl, who he's just too dense to see for what she really is, and the right girl who he eventually realizes is perfect for him. But both Ayeka and Ryoko have good points and bad points which makes the triangle situation more interesting. A lot of writers who want Ryoko to win Tenchi do a total makover of her into the perfect candidate to be the perfect Japanese housewife, but that is most definately NOT Ryoko.

Again, I would like to thank you for a well written and enjoyable story, and if you do write a sequel I'm sure I'll enjoy reading it.
