Also, a little note, and I've been told this by my english teacher (which was a very depressing day for me), 'Anyways' is not a word, so I suggest you avoid the 's' when you write 'Anyway'. I know, it's tempting (I'm one person that uses such word in grammar and verbal communication), but we have to fight it, okay?

aww. :D that was sweet, and surprisingly enough, i've finished the series, albeit recently, and ive never heard of the jacket thing before. :P i'm happy this is the first i've read about it, though- i really liked this. :D it was cute without being overly cute, even though i enjoy my overly cute moments as well... .' i thought it sorta give a glimpse at Ed's inner feelings without needing to have him voice them.

When I read the chapter and saw this coat thing going on, I kept wondering to myself how it went from being on Ed to Winry wearing it at the end. Your hypothesis of how it may have turned out that way seems fitting.

I laughed at the part where Ed asks Winry why she was making a big ruckus in the house and she simply replies that she was looking for her jacket. I pictured this very epic look on Ed's face when he let the words sink in and it made me laugh even more.

But that was very sweet of him when he gave her (...well, more like dumped it on her. But you get where I'm going with this, right?) his jacket. Ed is a man of actions. And this was a fine example of how he applies his feelings through what he does.

BUT DON'T YOU DARE HAVE JUST DEPOSITED THE ENGAGEMENT RING IN HER HAND, ED! OR ELSE I'LL COME TO AMESTRIS AND DROWN YOU IN A TUB OF MILK!
