I'm really sad that they lost Merry and Nami's mikans and all of that, and I assume they didn't meet Laboon which is why they didn't meet Vivi and Igaram... so how will they meet Vivi and how will they convince Brooke that it's ok to join them since they don't know that Laboon is alive this time?

I'm sure you've worked all of this out :) So far everything flows together really well and it's just far enough from canon to be REALLY interesting!

It seems that Robin's and Cocodrile's business relationship ended up really different this time... Nice to read you again. I like this more brutal, realistic pirate era. As much as I loved OP, I always thought that the firts half of the series was too childish...

I really like the story, besides a few spelling mistakes here and there it's well written. You got to remember the disclaimer at the beginning though.

Oh man I haven't been on in months glad I came back and there was an update though im pretty late. This is a great chapter and I very much enjoyed it. Love the fact that nami is choosing to get stronger and that the others are helping her as well! I totally look forward to the next update and hope it comes soon! Plus love luffy's new coat nami chose!

Ok , I get that this chapter takes place after they enter the grand line . What I don't understand is what happened once they got over reverse mountain . Did they meat laboon is basically what I'm asking . So could you please inform me of these events , makes it easier to follow the story . Thank you !

its a rare occasion for me to see a serious version of One Piece, and I am glad to be lucky enough to find this one. It has serious potential, I was hooked immediately. writing is very concise, and story stays close enough to canon while also obtaining originality. I sincerely hope for your successful continuation of this story.

Thrilled to see this update. Only a few typos.

I'm also very relieved to see this written in such detail. I hope you keep writing like this. Even if some events are very simillar to the cannnon One Piece, I hope you describe them all at least, even if in major lines at worst. After all, while the changes in the earlier chapters were minor, now the crew is entirely different. Luffy has started to control his Haoshoku Haki, or Conquerers Haki, and would eventually discover the other two...after all the armnament Haki turns HIS skin black (Gommu Gommu no mi effect, no doubt) so either he or one of his crew would notice it and he'd try to experiment with it) and observation Haki would eventually make him realize he's dodging ahead of the attack. The others are making more efforts in getting stronger, the ship is better than the Going Merry (who is still an awesome ship, but indeed not quite as suited for a serious crew...still, GOING MERRY REMAINS AWESOME! And Thousand Sunny is better than the Intrepid, however they are going to rename it).

I hope you keep writing. I don't know what adventures these Strawhats will encounter...will they visit Whiskey Peak? The bounty hunters there might prove a challenge for Nami and Ussop who haven't trained a lot yet, however Luffy would be more aware of possible danger so more Strawhats would be awake and ready to fight...though that would cut into Zoro's awesomness as he wouldn't be single handedly dealing with a TOWN'S WORTH OF BOUNTY HUNTERS! Of course, being aware of the danger, I imagine Nami, Sanji and a dragged-in Ussop to loot all of the food and other suplies they'd need while Zoro and Luffy are making a ruckus fighting the bounty hunters. Sanji to help carry the heavy stuff and to serve as a bodyguard for "Naaamiii-swan "...oh, and Ussop.

Or would they go on a different route and have different adventures, only to encounter Vivi on Drum as she has the Permanent Log Pose to Alabasta from Miss All-Sunday, and be in a terrible state as she tries to single handedly (or with Igaram) get to Alabasta after having been discovered. After all, while having different adventures would be awesome and different from anything anyone has ever done in a straight One Piece fanfiction (straight meaning not a crossover), people would crucify you if you ignored Tony Tony Chopper, or left Nefertari Vivi and Alabasta to it's fate. Ah, just throwing out ideas. If you change the adventures on Whiskey Peak and Little Garden enough, it will be fine as well.

As for your worries about accurately describing Zoro through his actions...you've succeeded remarkably well. Or you tried to portray it differently than it came across, but SOMETHING came across, and it looks and reads good to me. Good luck with next chapter, may it come out sooner than this long awaited piece.

Dude, I got the update from chapter five, and I had forgotten a lot about the story so I re-read the entire thing. Then I come to this chapter, the last of the "old" chapters...and there is this author note directed towards me...that is awesome. I don't fully remember sending you the idea, but whatever. THAT IS AWESOME! Good luck and keep writing!
