Beautiful. I can't help but want more, answers to the questions formed but yet it ends perfectly. I love your writing and stories. I liked Lily. She always reminds of the type of friend that leads you on but the moment you show slip up or show yourself or they see you aren't all popular and can't give what they seek, that friend leaves you in a heartbeat. But she does defend and put up with for a little while. Sigh, bad on both ends when it comes to these two. Simply grown apart and everything blew up to scream enough. But I like Sev I can so relate to his struggles. Ugh, sorry I am babbling nonsense. Thanks for sharing and brilliant story and idea.

This story tore at my heart. The way you wrote it really makes the reader understand and even feel the intense emotions that the characters are feeling. After their first kiss for instance, when Lily has Severus chase after her... gah! Those little moments are beautiful and heart breaking. The Lily and Severus story is obviously an incredibly sad one, since both characters are doomed, but I think your fic has only made it worse for me, but in the best possible way!

I really, really enjoyed this. Your portrayal of Snape family life is excellent, and I loved, loved the line about how everything Eileen cooked tasted like vinegar. That just about sums her character up for me.

I also love the theme of Snape just running from everything, it put a new and interesting spin on his character - mostly I think of him as too busy holed up in a dark corner somewhere, and running therefore being something of a no-no. Very original!

And, of course, the last scene with Lily was pure love. I love that he cried, and that he showed his vulnerable side to her, when he would never show it to anyone else. Just seeing that crack in the mask, right at the end, was brillaint. A really good job with this, thank-you very much.
