Absolutley beautiful! The way you capture feelings with words feels so real and lifelike! I especially liked the description of the striped light through the widow! So beautiful!

Naruto's brazen, "We can get off in my Hokage chair," had me laugh. At first I was like wtf at the stranger's resemblance to Itachi and then I was like fuck off you fucking imposter! I like Sasuke's summary of Naruto ripping out people's hearts from their chest, fixing it and shoving it back in before they realize the heart was gone, then swearing allegiance after hating themselves for awhile. He was talking about himself even though it applied to many people right? Sasuke pondering the reason for the invasion of his personal space and being uncomfortable with his conclusion it was how friends acted with each other...you have friends Sasuke :-)! It warmed my heart when Sasuke realized he was happy and described Naruto, "like a big stupid smiley sun." Things are already better but Sasuke is aware of them now and it's so promising! Thank you for writing.

This is lovely fic, so many great moments. My favorite were: Sasuke trying to find contempt for Naruto when he is feeling panicked but being unable to because of the soft smile Naruto has when he's sleeping or dreaming or ramen, Sasuke getting as far as the door once in his moments of anting to run away but being able to imagine the look on Naruto's face not finding him in bed with his shoes missing had him crawling back to bed, reference to Sasuke owning cats like plural, Kakashi's Pakkun with booties who used to be a stray having trouble settling down analogy, Sasuke not mentioning to Kakashi that people getting his order wrong happens often because the Kakashi would tell Naruto and Sasuke doesn't want him to have another thing to stress about, Lee and Gaara's little intervention, Sasuke telling Naruto if thinks he will be a bad Hokage to go down to the Hyuuga compound to tell Neji he lied and that Neji will never be free, Sai's intervention and the pair of shoes he brings, the two Nara and the dogs standing where the elders would've stood, Naruto calling Sasuke out for being a jerk and kissing Sasuke in front of everyone. I was smiling through most of the fic, it was just a nice feel good everything will be ok sort of thing, a welcomed feeling. Thank you for sharing.
