I understand she wanted to go back but I find it weird an kinda cruel that she left her sick mother knowing fully well she might never see her again...alive. I definitely wouldn't leave my mom and I'm not a pure hearted person like Kagome supposed to be. And why do every story make her some dangerous ninja?

What's the point of letting her come into the great power, but still putting her in this stupid damsel in distress repetitive crap. Great writing, crappy equality.

Just binge read this and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I love how you were able to protray all the characters and still stay true to those characters! Ugh! So in love!

Hmmm. I'm a little disappointed that she died and had to be brought back with Tenseiga. I was hoping her innate hanshin powers would save her. I guess I was really hoping she would be a powerful warrior priestess like Midoriko was, but she still seems pretty weak. I don't see that being hanshin has helped her any. I sure hope she is at least able to save the youkai from the illness. You do a great job describing the fight scenes-that's not easy.

I like the way you had her call her sword to lead them to her.

I appreciate the way you tried to figure out the characters' heights. I always try to find some kind of official source when I'm writing about manga/anime characters, too. _ Kagome seems petite to me compared to most of the other female characters. I found a source that listed her as 5 ft. even. And Sesshoumaru definitely has to be more than 5 ft. 10. I'm with you that the manga says he's 7 ft. tall, so I think your compromise of 6 ft. 5 is very reasonable. I was glad to see her father is concerned and is looking for her. It was also nice to see Sesshoumaru having some thought about her other than it's strictly his duty to find her and protect her. I am very intrigued by this illness that is befalling the youkai population. I am hoping Kagome will be the one to be able to cure them.

The wind youkai's plan to overthrow the noble houses is a really solid one. You laid the groundwork nicely for it. Him having the hanshin in his possession just makes things easier. We are getting teases that Sesshoumaru may have some feelings for her, though they are couched in terms of responsibility. My favorite part of this chapter was your description of the scene Sesshoumaru and the others came upon and how he deduced everything that had happened. Poor Shippou. I am hoping the presence of a dark miko who is being coerced will give Kagome a chance to work her own magic by helping her and her daughter and earning their trust and loyalty for herself. I really hope she will be able to be the one to successfully fulfill the prophecy without just being the damsel in distress who gets rescued.

Couldn't any of the suitors be reasonably acceptable? LOL! Nice to see Sesshoumaru decide he SHOULD be among the suitors. Interesting that he is willing to offer her the alliance without the actual mating, although they would technically be mates. That still precludes any chance of her finding a love match. I like her father, and am looking forward to them actually talking. You really made a great choice! I agree with Shippou-where the heck are they going?

Interesting that Sesshoumaru told her she would have three suitors, when as one of the four demon lords, he should be the fourth. So, her whole quest is choosing the right suitor and making the right alliance? I meant to mention previously how much I enjoyed Sesshoumaru being impressed with her. And I was extremely amused by the way he lost control when she told him about the future of youkai. It reminded me that he had lost his temper over Kikyou's mouthiness which seemed hypocritical considering he keeps telling her to control her emotions. LOL!

This is probably my favorite chapter so far. I really enjoyed the description of Kagome searching for the name of her sword. You gave it a really endearing and intriguing personality. Then she is revealed to be hanshin. If I am remembering correctly, Midoriko was also hanshin, but do we know exactly what that entails? I kind of love how she flipped Sesshoumaru's world upside-down by revealing that there are no youkai in the future. Ha! I have only read a couple of stories that ever address that issue and how she is a key to rectifying it. So, I am eagerly awaiting your take on that. Moving on!

I liked the man from the well showing up again in Kagome's dream. And now we have one of the other demon lords showing up to create trouble. I still don't understand Kagome's fear of youkai when she was always so brave.

I am enjoying her attempts to befriend "Perrito." Honestly, I don't even know what to say about this chapter. I am very conflicted over Kagome's spar with Inuyasha. First, I was surprised that the three rangers turned out to be the generals. I enjoyed her sparring with Kenta and Satoshi. Then Sesshoumaru arrives with Inuyasha. And he just completely kicks her butt and hammers on her, trying to get her to lose control of her emotions-even though she was doing a fantastic job of sparring WITHOUT letting her emotions interfere. I'm not sure that was productive. And considering she is human, I'm not sure how productive it was for Inuyasha to try to crack a rib. That could put her out of commission for a month or more. I was very conflicted by Kagome's thoughts that she had been blaming Inuyasha, but that it was her own fault for holding on to the hurt he had caused. Now, I do think it was very in-character for her walk away without causing him further injury. I was struck by the part where she was looking for the boy she had loved, but couldn't find him in the demon before her. I think that was profound, and perhaps should have been a moment of epiphany for her. She had loved a hanyou, and when she granted him his wish to become a full demon, that hanyou disappeared. I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to Sesshoumaru talking to her or not right now. I think she can regain control over her emotions by herself. She has been trained and has excelled in her training. And the Kagome we all know and love would never allow her emotions to cause pain or destruction to innocent bystanders.
