I was not expecting that! Another great chapter and I cant wait to see how this effects the story :)

Nice development with the neice. I thought it was kind of horrible for the armless girl's family to want someone else's kid to die so theirs could live a year longer, though. Understandable...piteable...but still horrible. :(

And the capitol people being so callous...interesting.

One note: don't the people stand with their age groups? So how could all Kem's siblings be there to hold onto him? And, if they did...why would he be the one prying them off? I'd like to see that better. I don't understand what's going on.

I'm glad this was a hard chapter to write for you. It would be creepy if it wasn't.

Good, I think you make a really good chapter!

I thought the chapter was quite excellent. I liked the new developements and think that this will definitely make it harder for Rey to know that he's, more than likely, been planning the demise of his niece.

As for what he'll do, I don't think there's much he can do except try to help her and perhaps get her sponsors.

I raised my hands in victory when I was mentioned in your a/n! Awesome chapter. I can identify with Aquila. I'm not usually violent but there's this one kid that makes me snap. I chased him around with a hammer once :). Anyway, great job! Can't wait for more!

This story always makes me laugh. I love the part where Piya nodded so hard she bumped her head. That was cute. Siri is a good storyteller too.

Jeeze. So many pregnant kids. So irresponsible, not to mention they could get nasty diseases. *rolls eyes* I have little sympathy for pregnant teens.

I like Lenny. I think begging is a much more likely way a kid would respond to to poverty, rather than hunting. Katniss did it, but I still find the number of people who submit characters in this situation to be very unrealistic.
