The Kobayashi Maru was before his time? Don't you mean after his time, since he's 25-30 years older than most of the crew? Or you meant he came was at the academy long before it existed as another way of saying the same thing.

Hah, this is a hoot! It's too bad it's still a few years too soon for Ensign Naraht the Horta to join the crew, he was always one of my favorites from the Diane Duane TOS novels and I think he'd get along well with Sam. I can't really think of any other suggestions at the moment.

Can I please borrow this incident? I almost fell over laughing. I read this chapter whenever I've had a bad day.

The Golden Snitch

I love the whole fic, but the description of the bar fight is especially great. Our school's Latin team is disproportianately made of of students in the math, science and engineering program, and at our last competition, there was an incident not very dissimilar to that, which resulted in nearly a dozen of us rushing around a crowded lunchroom attmepting to hunt down materials to improve a trebuchet.

Okay, I loved this story. It was funny, and focused on red shirts! I love red shirts! Now to check out volume II

First of all I am now itching for a story of a young Giotto and all the shit Burruss had to go through. I loved the fact that one of the reasons Giotto wanted to stay was the level of crazy. Your Admiral Pike was surprisingly good, many people don't quite capture that he was a badass and capable captain in his own right. The image of Kirk being told to go play made me giggle.

Spock and Giotto working conspiraing together makes me a bit too happy. I do believe Spock could be quite the cardshark but I can't get over the image of an awkward conversation about Uhurah(sp?).

Another scene where Giotti is a BAMF. The whole who's the captian bit was funny and so was Kirk being dismissed as too young.
