I love, love, love this! I always think what Obito's life was like in the Uchiha clan, and I love how Minato is portrayed as well. This was a really lovely read.

I just love the first line of the story, even though I didn't like the song very much. I like Obito as a character, and you showed him really well. The part where he graduates was pretty funny, and it's exactly the thing he'd do. :D

This story seemed to just progress until the part where he died, which is appropriate seeing that that was his main moment. It's tragic, that's for sure.

This story made me fall in love with Obito all over again. It's too depressing that such a good kid with so much potential died the way he did.

This was very well written; I like all the little details you put into his life. Nice work.

I can't even begin to describe how wonderful this piece is. I don't even *like* Obito, but because you have such a good track record, I thought I would give this a shot. Boy I'm glad I did.

First: you've managed to flesh out a minor character for me. I'll be honest, the whole Kakashi/Obito/Sharingan arc left me rather cold when I first read it in the manga, and while the direction in the anime did strike some emotional chords, Obito still wasn't a character I wasn't all that intrigued by. This fic actually made me *care.* Obito is so tragic in this. Like all your other characters in your fic, he's someone who just wants to be loved and yearns for some sort of connection. That you don't explicitly lay this out, instead leaving it to the reader to infer, is just masterful.

Second: there are those who may be put off by the rather simple narrative voice, but I think it really underscores the emotional needs of Obito quite well. He is, after all, just a 13 year-old boy; he is not a character who would wax poetic about his loneliness. The strokes with which you paint his character are brilliantly done: a pair of goggles, a faded Uchiha crest. How he watches his sisters weaving flower wreathes in the grass. The details are what makes this fic, and the detached, almost clinical way you describe things make it all the more real.

Third: I can't believe you quoted Corey Hart with your opening line! And that you made it seem *poignant*! Well, that made me laugh :) I also have to add that I quite liked your characterization of Minato in this, he reminded me of Iruka in a sense, trying to draw the boy out from his shell. Rin and young!Kakashi are also really well done.

Finally, I love how you included Obito's family life, touching on his need for validation in his father's eyes, and how his father isn't a bad man either, just a grieving husband trying to make sense of his wife's death and trying to raise his children as best he can. And I gotta say, mad props to you for picking names that are plausible - I've seen fic where people make up the most ridiculous names, so seeing how you slipped real and plausible names into your canon was really refreshing.

Interesting. I really don't know what else to say. The characterizations were all good, the ambiance was well-executed and Obito showed everyone just how hard life can be for a late-bloomer in the Uchiha clan.

You weaved such an incredible background story for Obito. I'm in love with your story!
