bassplayer123 chapter 9 . 6/7 I know you'll probably never read this review, but I just felt like I had to point out that Ares and Apollo actually have had a proper fight in the past, when Apollo beat him in a boxing match in the first olympic games. Also, Apollo should have put up a WAY better fight against Ares in this chapter, especially since he knew the entire multiverse was on the line. Word of god says Ares is sort of a chump among the Olympians (at least in the Percy Jackson verse) while Apollo is the most powerful son of Zeus. So it just feels a bit odd that Ares had Apollo on the backfoot for most of their fight. |

DontDrinkAndBike chapter 9 . 3/13/2017 Okay I just want to say, this series is fantastic. I realize I still have 2 more books to go but what I've read so far is some of the best fanfiction I've ever read. I don't know if you've ever read The Bartimaeus Trilogy or not (I highly, highly recommend it if you have not) but Armani reminds me a great deal of Bartimaeus. I love his dry, sarcastic sense of humor, as well as his sometimes cynical attitude. For some reason, the line "You know, I can't help but get the feeling I've done something to antagonize you" from Book 2 when Nico is threatening Armani made me laugh out loud. It's a perfect example of that type of humor that I love. But I also like that Armani can be serious when he wants to, just as Bartimaeus; he doesn't take things seriously very often, but it's because of that fact that when he does, it really means something. Anyways, just wanted to leave those thoughts here, and I'm looking forward to finishing the series. p.s. I'm also a huge fan of Artemis Fowl myself :) ...But seriously, read the Bartimaeus books if you haven't. They're fantastic. Just like your fanfiction :) |
