Reviews for Remember Not the Hand That Wrote It
T-tawny chapter 1 . 10/9/2016
It makes sense! And it was neat to see a story with Autor in it :P
frumiousQ chapter 1 . 4/6/2010
Just wanted to comment and say that I enjoyed this piece very very much - from the (awesome) title to the closing author's notes.

I love fics that explore the "in-between" moments of a series, and this one was extremely well-done. You write a terrific Autor, and I really liked how his little moment of introspection contrasted with the background bickering in the second half. I think the ending with him seeing Ahiru as the swan while she is in her human form (as opposed to while she is Princess Tutu) was quite thought-provoking. In my own mind, it really emphasized Autor's role as a liminal figure in the story and how he more than anyone else seems to have a heightened awareness of the world as it is being controlled by Drosselmeyer's powers.

Thank you for the lovely read!
Moon Shadow Magic chapter 1 . 3/22/2010
Wanted to review this earlier but I had internet issues for a few days... This is one of the things that I always wondered about, how that scene was cleaned up, but of course there was no time to show it in the series. That Autor sees Tutu as a swan might not be because of any storytelling power, I think, but the opposite- Pique and the other students (akt 14?), and the Bookmen, all see her as a swan, and maybe only those with whom she deals directly actually see her as a human. I don't think it's ever made clear in the series.

Anyway, I quite like what you did with this! Especially the bucket of water in the face (which harks back nicely to Autor's "ritual ablutions" and in any case is Duck overdoing things a little, as usual) and setting Autor up for his "Princess Tutu, huh?" line toward the finale.

I'll certainly defend a swan- apparition as falling within the confines of "white feathers", as well. Good luck!
CSKazaam chapter 1 . 3/18/2010
I thought this came out really well! X3 After going back to watch the episode and regain a sense of the characters, I have to say, I think they're pretty spot-on. I think they acted just as they should based on what happened in the episode. And ooh, that was an interesting monologue by Autor, with him thinking that the chosen one should have been him instead of Fakir! **hadn't expected that.**

And I like that Autor saw the swan... I kinda thought of it as just some lingering magic in the air, so I think it works.
RosylaGypsy chapter 1 . 3/18/2010
I really liked this! Interaction between these three is a rarity in fanfic, and you pulled it off really well here. The characterisation is well done (though Ahiru seemed a little more vicious than usual) and I especially liked how Autor saw her as a swan. Hope to see more like this from you in the future! :D
BlueForestAngelCat chapter 1 . 3/18/2010
Interesting, and well written! I liked it! :D
James Birdsong chapter 1 . 3/17/2010
Excellent. Nice.
Crystal Rose of Pollux chapter 1 . 3/16/2010
Wow, poor Autor... and poor Ahiru for being so panicked before finding him! LOL at the way they woke him up, though. XD

It's a little chilling, about what Autor says about being a story-spinner, albeit intriguing...

And I loved how he's wondering about the swan in the end- nice ending.
