I've never felt as bad for any character going through a complicated-as-fuck situation as I did for Kendall in this story. Your way of portraying his emotions with all the fairytale and medival refernces made him seem oddly simplistic and normal which is completely contradictory to what those descriptions are used for; I suppose he came accross more real and you allowed us readers to connect and sympathise with him. I really enjoyed the fantastical elements that came through time and time again; I found them endearing and relevant to this type of story. To be honset all your metaphors helped move this story along and helped connect me deeper into it. That is a writing trait I truly admire and am grateful you posses because it made reading this that much more entertaining for me :D

Then there's your humour and subtelty of it that makes reading your story that much more enjoyable! I found myself laughing and the absurdity, the angst, the turmoil, the complications - things normal people wouldn't laugh at - all because of the way you wrote them. I like that you can write something so dramatic and heavy as something light-hearted and fun to read - gripped me more and made me desperate to reach the end...of ccourse when it was over I only wnated more

"But what? I swear to god," Kendall groaned, irrational panic flooding his insides, "If you've changed your mind about any of this I'm going commit homicide, and any jury in their right minds will totally let me off." -best section of this story cause in all honesty I think all us readers were thinking and feeling the same way for Kendall at this point XP

I really like how you involved Carlos and James the way you did - even Camille. James' selflessness makes him obviously the character we all end up sympathising with. The fact that you made BTR's nortiously self-centred character into this precious gem no one wanted to see shattered, made me wanna cuddle and protect him from the world as best as I could. That kind of character altering made reading this all the more special and fullfilling.

I also admired the running theme of water in this story. Who knew one could make one simple element the crux of all emotional change. This story has definitely been an inspiration to me to write things that are serious and complicated but still treat it whimsically - better attention grabbing ;P. Thank you for sharing this piece of work with us and I'm very glad I was able to stumbled upon it.

That was awesome. I enjoyed the fairytale style that you let flow through the story, it was poetic and beautiful. Plus, the DRAMA. I GASPED. I GIGGLED. MY HEART BROKE. IT WAS PERFECT.

In regards to your author's note at the end, about choosing whether or not to wear slash-goggles for the James/Carlos thing... Damn straight, I had my slash-goggles on. :D

Okay, I don't usually review stuff because I always feel embarrassingly inarticulate, but I just have to say this was amazing. You artfully managed to make a love triangle between three long time friends seem believable and not like some strange "LOL! EVERYONE'S GAY!" cliche. The character voices were great, retaining masculine realness without resorting to some stereotypical neanderthal-like immaturity and also not devolving them into prepubescent girls. What had me most captivated though, was the descriptions of places and moments. It all felt like a warm hazy dream spun by Francesca Lia Block (which I mean in the most complimentary of ways, FLB is one of my favorite authors and pretty much the queen of describing the beauty and hidden bewitching magic of California). I totally wanted to be a voyeur at that industry bacchanal with Kendall and James, drinking the rum and mango punch and then chasing it down with some of that tainted aphrodisiac California water.

This was definitely one of those fics that I devoured quickly, but with much reluctance because I didn't want to ever reach the end. I hope this didn't come off as creepy, but the fic just lit a warm crackling fire in my brain and a set loose a flock of molten butterflies in my stomach in the absolute best way imaginable. Thank you!

Now I just need to build a bridge to get over my ~Kendall/Logan OTP~ issues so I can read the rest of the stuff you've written for this fandom.

I just wanted to say that this was my first Kendall/Logan fanfiction to read, and I loved it. Now I'm just afraid that all other stories won't be good enough. I guess what I'm trying to see is that, I love this story. It had the perfect amount of emotion. You are an amazing writing.

I've read this so many times, even back before I hac my first account. It is my favorite fanfic. EVER.

I absolutely love the imagery and allusions you use in your story. Especially this last chapter, since it was rife full of it. Though, when I first clicked on the story and began reading, I wondered what you had to say had to do with dragons, I soon discovered your apparent love of mythology. Of course, it could be the use of good writer's consistency, as the metaphor was stretched to encompass the entire story, but how it was fully expressed, in a way that can only be by someone who really knows what they're talking about, spoke to me as at least a mild interest in the topic.

I, myself, hold interest in mythology and its creatures, though my knowledge is far from complete.

I greatly appreciated this fine work of fiction, though it might be a little rough around the edges (nothing editing wouldn't fix immediately), and it holds a special place in my favorite fan fictions.

Ah-mazing! Love the ending! I'm totally team Kogan so it was pretty much perfect. Seeing as Kames is my second favorite pairing the story would have been great no matter what the ending was. I loved this entire story, great job!
