Yes, your French is correct. Je t'aime is actually used normally as 'I love you' instead of 'I like you'.

'Aussi' does mean 'as well'. Good story, but why did you pull the French in? Lots of people do this and I am not sure why. Do you think it's romantic? If so, try referring to it earlier in the story, like, for example, a flashback in French class? Or Sakura saying she thinks men who speak French are sexy?
