Actually the lighting strike would have cauterized the wound in the first place. Aang wouldn't have bleed to death. So the whole idea of Iroh cauterizing the wound with firebending is invalid.

This is awesome! I think that you should continue this story, and add more chapters. It would add more awesomeness to the awesome.

A very interesting Idea. I can't see Aang being hit so easily after gaining control of the Avatar state, I would have thought it more fitting if he threw himself in the way of the spike to save someone else (particuarly Katara, which would be ironic considering what the 7th chakra requires) and then go from there. But that's just my thoughts, and there is nothing wrong with how you portrayed this, in fact I really enjoyed it, and would love to see you continue to perhaps an alternative version of the DOBS. Would be very interesting to see how Zuko would assimilate with the team without having betrayed Aang and Katara. (*Hint Hint*)

That was a cool twist to one of my favorite episodes! I really enjoyed reading it to the end. There isn't really anything I would change. That entire thing was clean cut and professional but at the same time, it had passion and feeling.
