Anonymousme chapter 1 . 12/31/2019 ...Odd, but I liked it. Keep writing! |
Winter Faerie chapter 1 . 8/30/2012 Creepy. . . But very cool at the same time. I like it! This would be an intresting full length story, i wonder how it would go. . . (since we all know how it will end ;P) Great job yet again! |
StarReader86 chapter 1 . 3/17/2012 This story is absolutely amazing! One of the elements of a good story is that it shows the reader a perspective that is both original and interesting. Before reading this story, I never thought of the parallels between Naveen & Lawrence and Beast/Prince Adam & Cogsworth. Facilier's narration of Cogsworth's role and sacrifices made in serving the prince was very much similar to the voodoo doctor's summary of Lawrence's life story. Cogsworth didn't fall into temptation is that he may have been taught to serve royalty, possibly since he was a child, whereas Lawrence worked demeaning jobs to financially support his family as a child and himself as an adult, which led to his feelings of resentment and envy of people, like Naveen, whose lived financially secure and less exhausting lives. With the prince turned into a frog, I can only imagine how the story would turn out differently for him, Cogsworth and the other servants, and Belle! I like the idea of both pairings! I look forward to reading a story on either Naveen/Belle or Tiana/Prince Adam! |
zoe alice chapter 1 . 1/14/2012 I'd love to see anything more in this series. I prefer the originals of both movies, of course, but this was full of color. |
Falcon's Jade chapter 1 . 7/10/2011 You had me caught at the first sentence, I like how this story is going already! How will this differ from the stories of PatF and BatB, I'm curious to know? Will they meet Belle? Tiana? How will the other servants react? Looking forward to more of this story! |
Saru Wolfe chapter 1 . 1/15/2011 I am so very glad that I was not the only one to see the similarities between Lawrence and Cogsworth, and I was very glad to see you point out the vital differences between them. Despite the things one has to overlook, this was a good crossover, and everyone was in character. I love it. |
melodyfireprincess chapter 1 . 12/12/2010 in the 18th century, eleven year olds DID look a lot older. , Facilier IS a french name. Ancestor? 3.I can totes see that. 4.I'd like to see that, they would both be interesting enough. I would read them. Your first sentence made me laugh. I know this is going to be a good story from the start. I like the way you tell stories with humor injected in them. The prince's character is quite believable as well. Hmm. Whatever DID happen to his parents? Disney doesn't tend to talk about parents much. I for one would like to see Snow White's dad, or Cinderella's mom. They've been showing more parents in more recent movies, however. This is hilarious. You've got all three characters personalities down. :D GREAT ENDING TOO.:D |
Rose Emeraldfay chapter 1 . 11/2/2010 Wow. I LOVE this! It was one of my fav. secnes in the movie, not to mention that Cogsworth is my favorite character! Will you PLEASE update? please? |
SamoaPhoenix9 chapter 1 . 2/22/2010 I love this! I was struck by the similarities between Naveen and the Beast when I first saw the Princess and the Frog (the big difference is that Naveen isn't unkind to start out with (mostly), just spoiled and selfish). I hope you plan to do more with this story. As always, your writing style just sparkles, though the paragraph that begins "In the past..." is a little wordy, in my opinion. I think I'd like a Naveen/Belle pairing. I can see that more easily somehow than Tiana/Beast. I can see Belle at first treating Naveen the way she treats Gaston-disdain for someone so full of himself and not worth her time-but then warming up to him. |
TrudiRose chapter 1 . 2/22/2010 Wonderful as always! You always have the characters down SO perfectly, and I love your witty turns of phrase (the fish line at the beginning cracked me up!). I'd love to see a Belle/Naveen pairing - that would be really interesting, since on the one hand he's conceited and thinks he's God's gift to women, which is something she hates, but on the other hand, he's charming and easygoing and non-evil, AND he's a prince, like her fairy tales. And he plays the ukelele - who could resist? LOL |
