0ccam's Razor chapter 14 . 1/1/2013 I thought I'd chime in here. I like the way this is turning out, although dmittably, I'm a little too close to the plot to be genuinely surprised. If anyone else who writes Shadowchasers stories is reading this, I came up with the idea for Luhix, and I also designed a lot of other Shadowkind-exclusive drugs. Anyway, the two-sided structure of the story is a unique approach, with Uriel and Bonetail alternating chapters (although Bonetail seems a little TOO obsessed with Uriel). I have some idea where Bonetail is heading next, and a little advice: give the guy his due. He didn't get in his position by being stupid. Anyway, I look forward to reading more. |
KettouRyuujin chapter 12 . 10/19/2011 Very interestering duel here. I must say, this Fire-and-Ice is not what I expected, but it's very intriguing. Now, concerning the preview, am I right to assume it involves the Shadow Queen? I'll just have to find out when the next chapter comes out. Keep up the good work! |
Witty Phantom-GP chapter 11 . 8/16/2011 FINALLY I take the time to review this story! I love the fact that you don't portray Bonetail as a one sided villian who is on top of the world and doesn't need to work for his succes. I think villians often are TO powerful and succesful. And you break that cliché in such a fasion that it doesn't seem 'made' if you know what I mean. I also like that Bonetail actually has to WORK for his cards instead of just having them. I can see him aquiring Dark Sanctuary after a while LOL. Uriel's also a likable protagonists, who I can't refuse to like. So yeah... This is going straight to my fav list and I hope that you update fast. |
Metal Overlord 2.0 chapter 10 . 6/2/2011 It seems almost criminal that this story has gotten only three reviews considering how obvious it is that the author has gone to admirable lengths to make this a quality story, not just in regards to the Shadowchaser mythos, but to Yu Gi Oh in general. The fact that it serves as a bridge between several of Cyber Commander's better stories is novel enough on its own, but there's far more to Link of Destiny that makes me look forward to seeing the next chapter. For starters I find it wholly refreshing that Uriel's role is less about serving as a foil to the Shadowchasers and more about the path he walks as an individual amidst his ever present conflict with Bone Tail as part of two overarching plot threads. The cast seems relatively small, and as a result what characters we do see feel far more distinct then usual. Uriel in particular is immediately endearing as to the effort he puts into both understanding and respecting how small his understanding of the world apparently is in regards to the presence of Shadows. He's polite, compassionate, strong hearted, and the fact that he has a distinct ethnic background doesnt hurt either. Add to that a constantly evolving Fairy deck, and the end result is someone I find it very easy to root for. Of course what is a good story without a memorable villain? Bonetail simultaneously fullfills two of my favorite categories of monsters: dragons and the undead. He's as wicked, cruel and cunning as they come, but at the same time its interesting to see him forced to work his way back up the food chain after Shichiro strips him of his former power. I'd be lying if I said I didnt enjoy Bonetail's chapters a tiny bit more then Uriels, so I can only hope the consistent hop between characters remains a recurring theme as time goes on. There's probably a lot more I could go into, but I'm always willing to email authors interested in sharing ideas, but in either case I hope this encourages you to continue writing such a well written story. Keep up the good work my friend, your of to an excellent start |

PA2 chapter 1 . 2/18/2010 So far, so awesome! I've read your Pit of 100 Trials fic and loved it, and this one looks just as awesome, if not more so! It seems to be a nice introduction, and I'm eagerly awaiting the next chapter and the start of this duel! Update soon! |
